Photojournalist vs. photographer[edit]

This might seem semantic, but I think it's important that we distinguish Jackson's pre-White House work from his White House work in a way that doesn't portray his WH work as photojournalism, because it isn't. Photojournalists aren't supposed to be paid by their subjects, just like journalists; his work with the WH may be documentary, but it's not the same as his work with the AP.

I amended the page a couple days ago to reflect this, but I wanted to (1) make note of my concerns and (2) start a discussion about how we can best make this distinction, because I feel without it we aren't acknowledging how Jackson's work with Obama and Harris, while historically relevant, is not journalism.
