Article name[edit]

OK:
There are indeed a number of other names for "Le Grand Meaulnes" in English; however amongst the names for "Le Grand Meaulnes", the most common name in English for "Le Grand Meaulnes" is "Le Grand Meaulnes". Just clicking on the first non-Wikipedia G-hit indicates Julian Barnes certainly thinks so.
There would appear to me two main options here:

  • change it back to "Le Grand Meaulnes" right now
  • have a discussion, and then change it back to "Le Grand Meaulnes"

Thoughts?

I completely agree. 45ossington (talk) 10:13, 18 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yep. This move was not good and should have been discussed--and shouted down. User:Shirt58, can you please move it back? Mobile editing is a drag. Drmies (talk) 03:53, 13 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unclear about the title[edit]

The section about the title mentions "le domaine perdu" with no explanation of why. Why is it referenced, what does it have to do with the French title of the book, and why would it need to be translated? Some basic info is missing here.Sylvain1972 (talk) 15:12, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Analysis[edit]

What this article could really do with is a section giving some insight and analysis into why this strange, dreamlike novel, in which hardly anything seems to happen, has captured the hearts of so many readers, and cast such a spectral influence over French art, literature and culture.
