"Leaf miner" Vs "Leafminer"[edit]

Whilst this article uses the form "Leaf miner" from the page title downwards, all of the reference materials used are of the form "Leafminer". Is there a consensus as to which is appropriate? NinjaKid (talk) 22:43, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

does "leaf miner" refer to the insect or just to the larval stage[edit]

Is "leaf miner" analogous to "caterpillar", a term given to the larval stage of certain insects? Or is the adult still a leaf miner? Are the little critters in the leaves "leaf miners", or are they "leaf miner larvae"? Jonathan Tweet (talk) 20:02, 28 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Leafminers of North America[edit]

A good resource for this article would be Charley Eiseman's Leafminers of North America publication. Friesen5000 (talk) 23:39, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
