A colleague was on the right track, or at least headed in the right general direction. I'm not sure I'd've ever thot of the possibility of confusion between what i'd've pronounced Le-HAY and LAY-hee, but the point should well taken, even tho what I think is a very well established (tho perhaps undocumented) WP convention was not applied; the pronunciation is not obvious, and a distinction is not in any case not a clear one, so that the provision for both obvious and obscure mistakes what is worth making. Lahey, Leahey, Leakey, Leahy, LaHay, LeHay, and maybe more are at least worthy of editor attention; I'm arbitrarily limiting my edit to reformatting whatever I turn out judge to be implicit in what I found, once I get done yapping about it.
