Lecanicillium lecanii is a significant, economically important, entomopathogenic fungus species: that has been separated from Verticillium since 2001! I acknowledge authors of the previous page (and Index Fungorum), from whom I have "lifted" some of the text - this edit has been driven by discussions with confused colleagues and students - but much more is needed of course.
