Nomination for deletion[edit]
Lee Jussim doesn't appear to meet any of the notability guidelines for academics - I'm not familiar with psychology but I don't think he's made an impact "clearly much more than the average researcher in the field," and if he has the article certainly doesn't assert it. Cited sources consist of his university website; his blog; Heterodox Academy, of which he's a member; and Quillette, which he writes for and I'm not sure passes the reliable source test. From a quick google search it doesn't look like he's covered at all in standard independent reliable sources.
After bringing it up to normal Wikipedia standards (cleaning up the overlong biography and filtering out unencyclopedic content) I don't see how this article could be more than a brief paragraph. 128.223.223.205 (talk) 23:51, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
What's most notable about Lee Jussim is that he runs with the racist right, and is part of the "destroy Claudia Gay" movement. His actual work appears to be utterly insignificant, simply restating "stereotypes are real" over and over again. (Keep) No Delete[edit]
The page in question, Lee Jussim (bio of a living person), lists an external link[1] to the professor's Curriculum Vitae (CV), thus meeting necessary "verifiable" criteria. The CV very clearly states that Dr. Lee Jussim was the Chair of the Psychology Department (2010 to 2013) at Rutgers. Additionally, he is a full professor (not associate, adjunct, assistant or otherwise temporary). The first quoted reason for deletion is stated as: "doesn't appear to meet any of the notability guidelines for academics." However, the fifth (5th) criteria, "The person holds or has held a named chair appointment or "Distinguished Professor" appointment at a major institution of higher education and research ..." (including the Specific Criteria Notes) is clear and specific on this point. Thus, the criteria is clearly met and nomination for deletion is inappropriate on this basis alone.
The Nomination for Deletion also says: "After bringing it up to normal Wikipedia standards (cleaning up the overlong biography and filtering out unencyclopedic content)..." However, good practice in reviewing articles for clean-up are to review the relevant citations. The reference to a Notable Academic's CV is not irrelevant, and was not removed as "unencyclopedic," and contains the necessary criteria. (Not sure how this could be missed or overlooked when citing notability guidelines for academics.)
Additionally, Dr. Jussim, over his career, has published extensively. (Also available for review and verification on the CV linked to at Rutgers website.)

Proposed deletion was most likely related to recent events, and not related to the subject not being notable in the academic community. (Suggested lock to be removed after review, over a 30-to-90 maintenance period thereafter.)
