Rumor that Lee was not really a comfort woman[edit]
The idea that her legacy is a fabrication is based entirely on this one quote from Yoon: "In 1992, I received a phone call from Lee. Lee's voice was so quiet that I could barely hear her, but she said trembling, 'I am not a victim, but my friend...'"
Sure, it's juicy and interesting, but unless there's evidence beyond a syntactically ambiguous phone call with a momentarily weak-voiced person which may not have eve occurred (Lee and Yoon have an antagonistic relationship) , I don't think it should be in the lead.
