Evidence for George Cross[edit]

What evidence, other than the National Archive note from 4 January 1941, is there that he received the George Cross? His colleague, John Dowland (GC) received the GC and this was announced in the London Gazette on 7 January - I've found this on the London Gazette website. But searching the archive for the same or similar notice for Harrison, from 1940 to date shows no result. His promotion to Acting Pilot Officer is recorded, and I expect his later promotions (I didn't check) but I have been unable to come up with any GC. Perhaps the News Chronicle (and therefore the National Archives) was wrong. Emeraude (talk) 13:57, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
