Plasmid[edit]

Is there any actual source for this infectious plasmid stuff. I can't find any in the literature, the article has no citations, and the whole thing seems dubious to me. 68.197.174.59 (talk) 20:23, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is certainly nothing currently in PubMed about plasmids in M.leprae, but that does not cover some small journals. I have consulted the world expert on DNA from M.leprae. He has looked at DNA from lots of batches of bacteria from many sources around the world. He assures me that there is no evidence for any plasmids in the species. I think this is a figment of someone's imagination.PD1936 (talk) 13:25, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

do we really need a section on courteous injection practices?[edit]

Just seems off topic to discuss how to explain subcutaneous injections to a child so that they experience less anxiety, isn't there is already an article somewhere about dealing with pediatric patients.

Presumably it's actually a Chinese name like "Pan Caishen", "Pan Caosi", &c. in pinyin or "Pan Ch'ai-sen", "Pan Chu-shu", &c. in Wade-Giles but I can't find any sources on who this would've been. He worked for the Shanghai hospitals in 1942, though. — LlywelynII 10:53, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
