Sampled composition[edit]

@Hayman30: Hello. The footnotes in the Tidal listing for this song say: Fuck It Up Challenge (the sampled composition) written by Telly Brown JR. as used in "Level Up" (the new composition) performed by Ciara. Wouldn't that be enough to use Tidal as a supporting reference? If not, what kind of source would be appropriate? — Newslinger talk 17:38, 28 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't notice that when I was checking the Tidal page, but it didn't mention "We Are Young" at all, which is the actual sampled song. As per E! News, [...] it samples the Jersey Remix of "We Are Young" (used in the "F--k It Up Challenge"). If A samples B and B samples C, then A samples C. Hayman30 (talk) 05:40, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Level Up (Ciara song) → Level Up (song) – There is only one other song with a similar title: Level Up (Sway song). The Ciara song is more the primary topic, as show by page view stats. According to the guideline, "the standard (...) should be tougher than the standard for titles that don't have any disambiguator". Currently, there are only six such PDAB songs on all of Wikipedia. While the Ciara song currently has a clear pageviews advantage, I would expect that to shrink over time as interest in the "Level Up Challenge" fades.
