removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV[edit]

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 22:00, 21 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge[edit]

@Lost Hotel Lounge has proposed merging Liberalism in Mexico and Liberal Party (Mexico) stating, "the page almost entirely concerns itself with the nineteenth century movement".

  • Oppose: The Liberal Party is a independently notable component of Mexican history. It naturally falls into the scope of liberalism in the nation, but separate articles allow for in-depth coverage of topics. While this article deals with the broad effects on the nation, the other may cover the party's innerworkings, which is unfit here. Lounge's criticism is the primary issue, but a merge is not the solution. A merge does more harm in closing opportunities for expansion on the party than the amount of benefit in brevity. This article instead needs expansion to include 20th and 21st century liberalism. XxTechnicianxX (talk) 20:25, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
