"Switzerland is empowered to enter into treaties on Liechtenstein's behalf if Liechtenstein is not represented at the treaty negotiations"

Can we get a citation for this fact? Also, what does "if Liechtenstein is not represented at the treaty neogitations," exactly? The wording is passive. Does CH have to notify Liechtenstein when it enters into treaties? Does Liechtenstein have any veto power over treaty negotiations for treaties planned to be extended over their territory? I found this tool to look up old foreign policy documents for Switzerland: https://www.dodis.ch/en. If you filter things down to 1919-1920, you can find all kinds of diplomatic records discussing the proposed diplomatic regime between the two countries. What I've been unable to find, however, would be anything that specifically backs up the sentence I've excerpted from this wiki article. It would seem that at the end of 1919, Switzerland agreed to represent the interests of Liechstenstein abroad where Liechtenstein did not already have representation. In the time period in which I searched, I saw nothing specifically mentioning Switzerland expressly permitted to enter into treaties on Liechtenstein's behalf without the consultation of Liechtenstein's government. Is this something that happened later? Can anyone find any laws or rules in the source I've provided that spells this out? Criticalthinker (talk) 23:04, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Found sourcing for this. But, since I'm not as well versed in the French and German languages as I'd like to be, it'd be nice for someone who is to read over the documents and rewrite the "Cooperation" section to be explain exactly what was agreed to and when to provide a bit more detail and background.
