Start[edit]

Seemed about time to start this one. Having trouble finding a lot of good sources in English, but what I've found suggests to me that he was a notable pre-Khmer Rouge musician such that Khmer sources likely exist (hopefully not all lost during that period). Thanks to Doomsdayer520 for the tip on the possible other spellings. I did find some that say "Liv Tek" and at least one song is credited to "Leing Thet," although since it's just that one song it's not clear to me that that's not, say, a band name.

Looked for a decent picture to use, but the highest resolution clip I could find (and there aren't many) was this one, which seems to be from Sihanouk's film Joy de Vivre (it was also used in DTIF). Unfortunately, the camera work puts him on the edge and he seems to be looking down/in an awkward position. I suppose I'll use that anyway if we can't find something better. :) — Rhododendrites talk \\ 20:08, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

An important thing I haven't seen is what happened to him (or what is speculated to have happened to him) during the Khmer Rouge. I had read that most of the "contributors" to Cambodian Rocks had been killed, but apparently that was shown to be incorrect. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 20:28, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Rhododendrites: - Great job with this page and Meas Samon. One possibility for an image is to use an old vinyl record cover, which could possibly be found at record collecting sites and the like. I did this for Huoy Meas. I'll see if I can dig anything up. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 14:05, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Rhododendrites: - Can't find anything online, but at some point in Don't Think I've Forgotten there is a brief image of a Liev Tuk record cover. I think it's right before the footage from the Sihanouk film that you linked above. If you can capture that record cover it might serve as a good image for this article. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 18:47, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Good call. Screenshotted and edited the image to remove the red text that appeared next to him. Still not great, but better than alternatives.  DoneRhododendrites talk \\ 02:39, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
