Note: This discussion has been included in WikiProject Football's list of association football-related page moves. GiantSnowman 10:03, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Support move to Liliana Rodríguez per @Roman Spinner:, and suggest the redirect is re-targeted. But nominator is correct, we use profession rather than birth details. GiantSnowman 10:05, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Support move to (footballer) but Oppose move to primary topic as the Mexican football stub is a nonentity, es:Liliana Rodríguez is much better known and has the main page at es.wp. In ictu oculi (talk) 17:57, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The redlink, not surprisingly, was leading from soaps with the Venezuelan actress/singer who is daughter of famous-in-Venezuela parents. Converted to hndab, but if @GiantSnowman: you judge that the Mexican football stub is a primary then feel free to move the dab out. In ictu oculi (talk) 18:08, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Creating stubs doesn't influence titling. Why should someone create a stub? What difference does it make? In ictu oculi (talk) 10:18, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Of course it does. If we only have an article on one of them then that article takes the title without disambiguation. That has always been how Wikipedia works and I fail to see the value in changing it now. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:08, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Dane: Dane, I think this is a controversial non-admin close. The footballer stub clearly fails WP:PRIMARYTOPIC but has now been moved to a primary topic. In ictu oculi (talk) 19:34, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@In ictu oculi: Thanks for bringing this up. I reviewed this again and I believe my close was appropriate. I saw consensus to title the page as I did when closed and with the appropriate hatnote/disambiguation. As for the primary topic, the discussion did not support that this was not the primary topic for the title. I welcome you to file a move review if you still believe it was inappropriate so that further review can be done and your concerns addressed. Thanks! -- Danetalk 19:55, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
