L-head and flathead[edit]

The article on flathead engine currently [1] reads in part As the cylinder cross-section has the shape of an upside-down L, this leads to other names: L-block, or L-head. Similarly, L-head currently [2] redirects to flathead engine.

However, this DAB [3] seems to distinguish between 1932–1942 L-heads and 1936–1948 Flatheads.
