Edit request for "Awards" section[edit]

  • Columbia University's School of Medicine Award for Excellence

is inaccurate. It should be changed to:

  • Columbia University's School of Nursing Second Century Award for Excellence in Health Care

The citation is:

"The Academic Nurse". The Journal of the Columbia University School of Nursing. 18 (2): 3. Fall 2001.

Edit request for "American Heart Association" award as it is inaccurate. The American Heart Association has no current relationships with Ms. Fairstein. Nearly two decades ago, a local NYC office presented her with a “Women of Heart Award” for community contributions made at that time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 161.69.112.12 (talk) 15:41, 21 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Law and Order. SVU[edit]

The Bone Vault (2004), a first-rate police procedural novel, pretty much follows the pattern of Law and Order: Special Victims' Unit. I'm surprised no correlation is made in the Wikipedia either here or in the entry dealing with the TV series.. Jim Lacey (talk) 16:21, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipidea article need to be eddited[edit]

Representations in Media[edit]

A section should be added to present information and facilitate factually grounded discussion of this public figure's representations in public media, such as the Netflix mini-series, "When They See Us." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1702:1621:7E0:D0C1:9142:6BEB:983F (talk) 02:32, 2 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Massive and repeated vandalism of this article[edit]

This controversial living person was demonized in a recent (highly partisan) Netflix series as the outright villain. Consequently this article is being repeatedly vandalized with edits that are soap-boxing about the real person based on a fictionalized character (played by no less than actress Felicity Huffman, herself the target of a great deal of controversy about her privilege in the recent college admissions scandal). This page needs to be protected for some time. Walterego (talk) 11:36, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Walterego: You can make a request for page protection at WP:RfPP. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 12:51, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Now protected. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 15:16, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the information, I'll know how to do that next time. Walterego (talk) 18:17, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

How is this passage acceptable?[edit]

From the opening paragraph: "railroading and destroying the lives of 5 Black and Latino boys with little regard for facts in the cases." Say what you will about what happened, but this sure doesn't seem like typical NPOV stuff for a Wikipedia article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.141.0.1 (talk) 15:37, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like it’s been removed. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 19:14, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Political Party.[edit]

Mrs. Fairstein is a well known democrat and DNC donor. She has been well documented in interviews and articles about her vacations with the Clintons and The Obamas in Martha's Vineyard. She even had to skip the DNC convention for Hillary Clinton because she was already promoting her new book "The Killer Look". JamalJ90 (talk) 18:01, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

sentence unsupported by cited reference[edit]

The sentence:Lawyers for the five defendants contested almost every element of Fairstein's statement.[16] is problematic for three reasons: 1. the five were actually "plaintiffs" at this time as they were suing NY for $250 million. 2. Toobin (the cited author) actually says "interpretation" rather than "statement" - suggesting a difference of opinion rather than fact. Furthermore it is clear that the lawyers were not reacting to her statement, but simply held a different position. 3. and most importantly, Toobin offers very little beyond a categorical denial of any guilt on behalf of one lawyer's 3 clients. There may well be a well stated rebuttal to her statement, but you cannot find it through the cited article.

The line should be struck or rewritten. I'm not yet qualified to do so. First understand (talk) 22:21, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Woman of the Year Revoked[edit]

Her woman of the year award from Glamour Magazine has been revoked and it’s should be updated to show that. No need to remove it just add in parentheses that’s it sheen revoked. Jlcia (talk) 05:40, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

She need to be erased from Wikipedia page, we should not be seeing her

Not done: We don't delete articles on people because you don't like them. We have a notability criteria, which she clearly meets. NiciVampireHeart 19:42, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • You may have made a mistake and meant to add this to a new section instead of including this in the edit request. But either way I personally don't think it's notable enough for a special mention, unless there's some exceptional circumstances (some type of crime being committed, etc.) I'm open to being persuaded, though.
