Untitled[edit]

Davenport has acknowledged that the back injury was temporary and did not affect her play in the match.

http://www.wimbledon.org/en_GB/news/interviews/2005-07-02/200507021120327291146.html

It should not be cited as an excuse for losing the match, if Davenport herself acknowledges that that was not the reason, see link above.

Why does the description start at 2004???[edit]

Lindsay Davenport's career has lasted more than 13 years, so why does the description of it begin only in 2004, after she won her 3 grand slams? The description should start at the beginning when she first started out with a weight problem, then describe how she reinvented herself to become one of the best players ever.

Also, it would be nice to have a section called "memorable matches" like the other players have. She has played a lot of dramatic and highly competitive matches, especially against Hingis, the Belgians, and the Williams sister.

Yeah....And the murrieta school, to which i am alumni, has a horrible tennis program. She did not play there thats for damn sure. Or maybe she did. There have been so many wasted talents from murrieta.

Are You Sure?[edit]

I was reading and found the paragraph that said "her ranking fell to #25, marking the first time since the computer singles rankings were established in 1975 that no American has been ranked in the top 10." Are you completely sure that for 30 years atleast one American had been in the Top 10?

She is not the highest earning female athlete[edit]

Her earnings are 22,050,839 as the the WTA [1] That is her complete on court earnings, as there is a single women's tour.

Annika Sorenstam has earned 22,248,776 on the LPGA Tour [2] and a good deal more on other tours.

equipment section[edit]

Just one racquet throughout her career? Was that the racquet she used when she was number 1? What about her strings? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.33.93.239 (talk) 05:05, 5 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
