Don't Delete[edit]

Lionel Ovesey was a rather well known psychoanalyst who wrote about homosexuality. As it says in the article, he was one of the best known and most influential figures, and it would be a big mistake to delete this article right way, because it can be expanded. I've already given a couple of sources indicating his importance, and should be able to to find others. Skoojal (talk) 11:43, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A Methodological Study of Freudian Theory[edit]

The dustjacket of Homosexuality and Pseudohomosexuality states that this work was first published in 1959. I wonder whether this fact can be incorporated into the article? Also, I'm a little puzzled, since the dustjacket seems to indicate that this was a published book, while the 'Selected publications' in the article says it was printed in a psychiatry journal. He published a number of pieces on "pseudohomosexuality," the first of which I believe was in 1955:
  • Ovesey L (1955). Pseudohomosexuality, the paranoid mechanism, and paranoia; an adaptational revision of a classical Freudian theory. Psychiatry. 1955 May;18(2):163-73.
Then there were book chapters, such as
  • Ovesey L (1965). Pseudohomosexuality and homosexuality in men: Psychodynamics as a guide to treatment. in Marmour J (ed.) Sexual Inversion: The Multiple Roots of Homosexuality. Basic Books ASIN B000GDAW8G
Then came the full book. I suppose they should all be listed, since it was a big concept of his. Jokestress (talk) 21:58, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
