Name[edit]

The name Lippisch Wien is tentative as the only two sources I have (Simons and Brutting, cited) that cover it in any detail just refer to it as the Wien. That's not unusual with gliders of this period but one can usually find reliable sources to add a design institute or builder. The Professor is called just that by Brutting but Simons calls it the RRG Professor on his 3-view diagram: not so with the Wien. Certainly it is a Lippisch design and he worked for the RRG so I'd have expected Simons to call it the RRG Wien; not sure if RRG built the Professer but Fiesler built the Wien. Perhaps discuss alternatives here with sources? In any case I'll create a redirect from Wien (glider).
