Protection[edit]

The protection level should be lowered, as the editors in question are of IP addresses. Maybe a {{Template:British English}} for further clarification. Bugboy52.4 ¦ =-= 21:30, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The original was American English. I would think the default action should be to return it to that state unless there is some rule about this in WP that I am not aware of. Donlammers (talk) 12:30, 3 March 2011

'Portuguese English' spellings generally follow British usage not US. we use litres metres, centres. etc. 321zxc (talk) 09:58, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Portuguese can read pt:Oceanário de Lisboa. This article is intended mainly for those whose native language is English, and it was originally written in American English. Later, a metric conversion template was added which uses British spelling. —Stephen (talk) 21:02, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Size[edit]

I visited recently and while impressive, it's not the largest aquarium in Europe, despite the information in the travel.usnews.com article, that merit belongs to L'Oceanogràfic which is bigger, by a lot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.218.4.2 (talk) 12:47, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I hate these one-upsmanship deals. The claim is that it is "Europes largest indoor aquarium". L'Oceanographique claims "the largest complex of its type", and evidently includes outdoor exhibits. We have land area for one but not the other. floorspace for neither, largest tank volume for one and total tank volume for the other. Comparisons of this sort are almost impossible but everyone seems to want to make them anyway. Lacking any specific reason to contradict "largest indoor", I'm going to leave this article as is for now. Don Lammers (talk) 17:14, 22 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
