Article too big[edit]

At my last edit, Wikipedia reports this article is 162 kilobytes long — that's almost 6,000 lines and is waaay out of line with Wikipedia:Article size guidelines. It exceeds the capability of the browser on my Windoze system, causing system crashes; the browser on Linux barely handles it. The article should be broken down into roughly 1,500-line chunks. I'm suggesting the following breakdown:

  • Chunk 1: WA-- through WE--
  • Chunk 2: WF-- through WK--
  • Chunk 3: WL-- through WR--
  • Chunk 4: WS-- through WZ--

That should result in four articles roughly 42 kilobytes in size. That's still large, but should be manageable for most browsers' editors.—QuicksilverT @ 03:56, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
