Why some musician are "Big-name" and some others are "other musicians"? Maybe people like Jeff Buckley and Jimmy Page aren't "big-name"...

Good point. As best I can tell, the list is structured in three groups: (a) those whose primary instrument is Appalachian dulcimer; (b) those "famous" musicians who used Appalachian dulcimer occasionally; and (c) less famous musicians who used it occasionally. The division between (a) and (b) makes some sense, I think, and could be useful, but I'm less clear on the purpose (or how we can be objective about) the division between (b) and (c), so my inclination is to reorganize the list in two groups: (a) musicians (of whatever degree of fame) whose primary instrument is Appalachian dulcimer and (b) musicians (again, famous or not-so-famous) who have recorded with Appalachian dulcimer, but for whom it is not their primary instrument. Any interested parties have objections? AngelaVietto (talk) 22:56, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Other lists of musicians are organized alphabetically, typically in a single list. My recommendation is to go that way. Anyone have any objections? AngelaVietto (talk) 23:47, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Each list should have a list lead sentence or paragraph setting the definition of the list. "Prominent" or "Big-name" are normally excluded from list titles ----> WP:LIST. Noaccountaccount (talk) 02:55, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
