Ths category relates those who LIVE in the US, but as far as I know, they are NOT borñ in the US. Shouldn´t we MOVE the article´s name? Lulu Margarida yes? 22:00, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This should only include Americans with Brazilian ancestry or who have naturalized themselves Brazilian, as well as Brazilians who have American ancestry or who naturalized themselves American. I'm cleaning it up right now.--Dali-Llama 18:27, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Additions[edit]

I've added all the people who have articles on WP that show brazilian ancestry. this list should include anyone born in brazil that moved to the us, and was notable while living in the US, regardless of citizenship status. It also includes people born in the US with any brazilian ancestry that has been noted publicly by them or by other sources. Technically, each name should have a reference HERE showing their brazilian ancestry, but many lists like this dont have that, and i believe we can add those references over time. this is a work in progress. i did not include some people of marginal notability or that dont have clear statements on their article pages about their ancestry. sure, some of the people here may not be brazilian, through fraud or incorrect reporting or bad WP editing. so when we find one thats not, just remove it. I think this is a good list now.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 04:45, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

But Brazilians who merely live in the U.S. are not American citizens. Thus they are not American and would not fall into the category of Brazilian-Americans. People like Alessandra Ambrosio, Ana Beatriz Barros, Rodrigo Santoro, etc are just Brazilians. They live in America for work alone. It's inaccurate to call them Brazilian-Americans. I seriously think they should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheyCallMeTheEditor (talkcontribs) 07:37, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Her article classifies her as "Mexican-American", and there is nothing about Brazil or being Brazilian. What could be the reason she's listed here? 82.141.126.42 (talk) 18:01, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
