Untitled[edit]

I see someone has been screwing around with the list deleting companies. The original reference at the end of the page is the correct source CANADIAN NATIONAL, and they ought to know what they owned! I don't have time to fix this, so anyone who wants to do so go right ahead.

The CN sure as hell does not own the Belt Railway of Chicago. They may own a piece of it, but that should be marked. What exactly was your source - was it just a list, or was there more information? --SPUI (talk) 23:29, 10 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I am the original author of this page and I have reverted the text to what I wrote originally. Some one who does not know what they are doing messed with it.

I really have my doubts about the accuracy of this - stuff like Belt Railway of Chicago, which still operates as an independent company, is in the list. --SPUI (talk) 11:05, 8 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

BRC is partially owned by CN, as BRC themselves say here: "Due to mergers over the years and the bankruptcy of the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad, the Belt Railway is now owned by six major Railroads. Ownership affiliations consist of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation, Canadian National, Canadian Pacific Railway, CSX Transportation, Norfolk Southern Corporation and Union Pacific Railroad."
