PRC claims[edit]
I'm assuming that the values for Tibet exclude the area of the PRC's claims in Aruchanal Pradesh. Should there be a note there explaining that the PRC province values only include area that is under administrative contol? In China, there is a common tongue-in-cheek joke that "Hainan is the largest Chinese province because the entire South China Sea becongs to Hainan". Columns[edit]
Will be adding two columns soon - one for actual area, another for claimed area. For comparative purposes only. Since "China", used in the article title, is ambiguous between PRC and ROC, I will include both. Provinces that will include variable areas include:
- Tibet (claimed area includes A.P.)
- Hainan (claimed area covers the entire South China Sea)
- Taiwan (actual area controlled by ROC involves Taiwan Island and Penghu; claimed area covers Diaoyutai controlled by Japan)
