Lief to accompany Barda?[edit]

Is it true that in the novel Lief has to accompany Barda to collect all the gems for the belt? From the anime, I get the impression that Lief is the one who is on a quest for gem collecting accompanied by Barda. 193.136.124.221 09:55, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It isn't wise to completely rely on the anime for info on Deltora Quest, but thinking back, I think there was something about Lief accompanying Barda, but it's been a while since I read the series so I can't quite remember. 75.185.101.79 01:08, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have the first book at home. Barda is Lief's companion, not the other way round. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.164.197.120 (talk) 09:57, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is in a way both ways. Barda honestly sees it more like babysitting at first, so obviously he'd tell you Lief was accompanying him. Also, at first Barda is the one to lead truly. --Luka1184 (talk) 05:46, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Lief hearing the Shadow Lord's voice[edit]

Didn't Lief hear the Shadow Lord's voice in his mind in Deltora Quest 3, not Deltora Quest 2 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.164.197.120 (talk) 10:01, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually it was in both, the Shadow Lord's voice tormented Lief throughout Deltora Quest 2 and finally in Deltora Quest 3 Lief had enough of the Shadow Lord tormenting him that he decided to get rid of the source, the Crystal that was placed in the Palace that relays the Shadow Lord's voice. Images[edit]

Should we get immages from the show for some of the characters, like Lief? Or would pictures take up too much room? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.236.20.232 (talk) 01:59, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would be supportive of images, though it wouldn't be up to me. Unknown Dragon (talk) 17:36, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nanion/Soldeen {SPOILER WARNING}[edit]

I think that we should change the title from "Nanion/Soldeen" to just Soldeen, as Nanion wasn't the guardian, Soldeen was. Soldeen was never Nanion during his guarding of the ruby. C Teng (talk) 14:58, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nanion and Soldeen are one and the same so they share the same section. Unknown Dragon (talk) 21:13, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh man, Jarred is accually Doom? I got a spoiler from the subsection heading. I'm putting a {{spoiler}} template on. C Teng (talk) 16:29, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So there is no {{spoiler}} template. C'mon, who's gonna read the Content Disclamer? C Teng (talk) 16:33, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How do you post the Spoiler Template? If anyone knows how to put it up please do. Unknown Dragon (talk) 09:17, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There isn't a spoiler template, accually. Read Wikipedia:Spoilers. C Teng (talk) 04:59, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Barda[edit]

In The Maze of the Beast, it is hinted by Jinks that Barda did not just happen to leave the palace before the palace guard slaughter by coincidence. He said, "I quite understand your position-- even if your young friend does not.... we cannot all be heroes. Why, I myself am the world's greatest coward! Mind you, I do not pretend to be anything else," and Barda says that he'd prefer that his personal past not be revealed. This is not mentioned in this article, or in the rest of the books. Why? C Teng (talk) 15:32, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I think that if there really is reason Barda left, it should be mentioned. But right now, I don't know why he left, so I wouldn't put that in. O—— The Unknown Hitchhiker 19:23, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No wait. It's in there already. O—— The Unknown Hitchhiker 19:33, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Split[edit]

Should we take the minor characters and split them into a separate page for minor characters? O—— The Unknown Hitchhiker 19:33, 12 June 2008 (UTC) [reply]

The Third Guardian[edit]

Why is Doran the Dragonlover listed as the Third Guardian when it states in The Sister of the South that the third guardian is Laughing Jack? Nick1372 (talk) 01:48, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

They were both guardians of the Sister of the West.

Incorporating information from The Three Doors[edit]

Is incorportating information from Deltora's sister series, The Three Doors appropriate? The series takes place in the same universe, and includes The Shadow Lord and the people of D'Or before they came to Deltora. A bunch of information has been added in this edit. Can I expand on this more? Nick1372 (talk) 21:12, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it is appropriate and should definitely be done. It takes place in the same sea as the one off the coast to Deltora's east (the Sea of Serpents) so I think it should be included. But perhaps some kind of writing, maybe a little note or something, could be added to the article to let people know that we've now included information from Thre Three Doors. By the way, I've noticed that a few of the character bios on the page has some bad grammar and sometimes misinformation. It would be hard for me to go through the whole thing and find every error due to lack of time. If anyone would like to proofread the whole list, please be my guest. It would be appreciated a great deal. By the way, I am the Head Admin/Chief Admin of the Deltora Quest Wiki. You can find some information there, most of it completely reliable. However, some things are a mess on there, and we are trying to clean everything up at this moment with the appropriately named "Project Clean-Up." By the way, we happen to have some information from The Three Doors included on the Wiki. Soon everything from the trilogy. And soon there may be stuff from Rowan of Rin, since Rodda confirmed at the Melbourne Writers Festival in 2012 that the continents where those stories take place are in the same universe, to the west of Deltor. That might mean that it is located in the Silver Sea, which is the ocean located off the coast to Deltora's west. Luka1184 (talk) 17:59, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@Luka1184: Okay, then. Thanks. One day I'll go through this entire article and clean up the inaccuracies, but that's a big task. However, I think you're going too far to suggest that we include Rowan of Rin, because that's a whole different book series that has no overlap with Deltora. The Three Doors has characters that overlap, thus has information relevant to Deltora. Other information would go to List of characters in the Rowan of Rin series and List of characters in The Three Doors series lists, no? Nick1372 (talk) 02:29, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps we could rename the article "List of Roddaverse characters"? That is the most common term used by fans today for the collective universe (which is made up of Deltora Quest (1, 2 and 3), Rowan of Rin, The Three Doors and Star of Deltora. Yes, even Rowan of Rin! It was confirmed in Star of Deltora. You can see this term being used on websites like Tumblr: https://www.tumblr.com/tagged/roddaverse A few times Deltoraverse has been used too, but it is not nearly as common.

Min[edit]

This edit says that Min was Jarred's nursemaid, but not Endon's. Does anyone have any facts to back this up? Nick1372 (talk) 02:41, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removing anime mentions[edit]

This is an article about characters from the books and as such I believe mentions of the anime are irrelevant. It is perhaps fine with a few of them, but there are quite many that do not seem to be fitting here, like alternate character traits and alternate ways scenes played out. What do you guys think? --Luka1184 (talk) 05:54, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
