Too much detail[edit]

To Newfraferz87: I see that you are very well-read on the novel, perhaps more than me, to be able to delve into such details on the characters. However, I do really feel that such detailed descriptions for each character is not really necessary. By the way, we're planning to create single pages for some of the characters, especially the main characters. I don't know why the pages created earlier have been deleted though. Your language needs some refining too, and I think Lonelydarksky has done quite well in correcting those linguistic errors for you. What you've just did was to revert back to the original version before Lonelydarksky corrected those mistakes. Please take note of that before making any edits in future. Mistake in year calculation[edit]

The year of Emperor Zhezong's reign is briefly mentioned in the novel - when he had ruled for 9 years, that is, year 1094. (Besides, Yelü Hongji only died in 1101, according to historical sources.) Therefore it is impossible for Duan Yu, who is only 21 years old then, to be born in 1083 or 1084 (or 癸亥), but most likely in the year 癸丑, or 1073. Hence, it is possible to calculate Xiao Feng, Xuzhu, Mu Wanqing and Zhong Ling's ages respectively.

Not entirely. There are sites on the Internet that show Jin Yong's works and it will be easy to get the reference. This one can be found [here].
