episode names

Whats with the funky titling for these episodes? Each one has like three different names? If you know why that is please put a note as to why in the article --Joshua4 00:13, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Each 30 minute episode contains three shorts. The TV.com listing is wrong. --Hotdoglives 08:01, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Episode pages

Instead of having pages for the individual shorts, the pages should have the information for all three shorts in the episode. Anyone else have an opinion on this? --Hotdoglives 06:10, 28 February 2007 (UTC) It should be like the list of Spongebob Squarepants episodes article. I just looked at the article right now. It's what I call messy. Really. 68.76.121.171 17:32, 21 October 2007 (UTC)Kinz

I am doing that now, instead of listing thew episodes on different pages, I now make a page for the entire episode. Aaron122894 07:07, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Special Episode

The list is missing the episode where the second short is called Golden Diskette.68.76.121.171 17:27, 21 October 2007 (UTC)Kinz

It is episode number 21 on the list. 70.123.203.151 19:04, 25 October 2007 (UTC) I saw it. 66.72.193.13 20:45, 6 November 2007 (UTC)Kinz

Airdate Order

I looked at all the airdates in the episodes and I have to but them into airdate order. If people want to put it in production order then no. There is a production order for the List of Kid vs. Kat episodes on the Season 2 order. so there. FinnTime! 06:55, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Sorry

I'm Sorry because I was trying to make a list of the pilot episodes. Terrible mistake for Season 1 and 2 list. Please help the article. - Mario324 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 21:44, 19 November 2010 (UTC).

Pilots removed

Don't know why, but somebody removed the pilots section, I'd like to restore it, though I'm not that skilled with a computer. Please restore it! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.53.83.234 (talk) 01:33, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

I removed it because the pilots are already listed in season 1, but I can restore it. Paper Luigi TC 01:45, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

Rude Removal

Alright, let's talk. I assume everyone reading this has seen the episode already (if not, here ya go). I'd like to bring up a few points of interest to discuss:

  • Personally I think it was supposed to be censored. This is Dexter we're talking about - not South Park. According to Tartakovsky, "And we had them swear, but we had beeps over the swearing." Frankly, there's no more evidence to suggest an uncensored "Rude Removal" than there is to suggest that there's an uncensored "Sailor Mouth" episode of SpongeBob floating around.
  • Where exactly does the July 12, 1998, date come from? I can't find it in any of the sources, but it must have originated somewhere. It's safe to say, though, that it was shown at more than one convention. (Tartakovsky even briefly mentions it himself when he says "that's one that you can only catch at some festivals and stuff.")
  • When was this episode produced, and where should it fit in with the rest of the series? I can only come up with two leads for this. The first, of course, is that "Dexter's Rival" is repeated in the 12th episode of season 1, so it could fit in there. Fred Seibert also mentioned in his blog post, "it happened after my time on the series", whenever that was.
  • Let's be clear: PanPizza/RebelTaxi99 did not bring "Rude Removal" to the attention of the internet. The internet was talking about this episode long before YouTube even came around. All he did was get people thinking about it again, and there's no reason he should be mentioned in the article(s).

Paper Luigi TC 03:07, 23 January 2013 (UTC)

http://forum.bcdb.com/forum/I_have_seen_Dexters_Rude_Removal_P77193/ ^This is an older review claiming the short's existence, matching a lot of details with the final released version except it was extended and uncensored. 151.213.58.199 (talk) 06:23, 23 January 2013 (UTC)

I was wondering...has the episode received enough coverage and become notable enough that it should get its own article? Lots of TV episodes have their own articles anyway. Alphius (talk) 00:39, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

"Too Cool for the Pool"

In the "unknown" season of Dexter's Laboratory listed on IMDb is an episode called "Dexter's Lab/Too Cool for the...". After a quick Google search, I found the full title listed at an old ToonZone schedule, where it was "Dexter's Lab/Too Cool for the Pool/Coupons for Craziness". If this relates to season 2, episode 24, as I think it does, then that would mean the "Too Cool for the Pool" segment was retitled "Better Off Wet" and "Dexter's Lab: A Story" was originally just called "Dexter's Lab". Not exactly something the average reader would be interested in, but I thought I'd share anyway. Paper Luigi TC 21:21, 2 November 2013 (UTC)

Cavanaugh and the third season

Recent edits have changed the lead text that states which episode was Christine Cavanaugh's final Dexter role. IMDB credits Cavanaugh as voice actor throughout the series until Candi Milo took over beginning with "Poppa Wheely/A Mom Cartoon/The Mock Side of the Moon". It also credits her for "Tele Trauma" and "The Scrying Game/Monstrosi-Dee Dee/Dad Man Walking". I viewed these episodes paying close attention to Dexter's voice, and it's obviously Cavanaugh's Dexter in these segments (both she and Milo are credited for "If Memory Serves/A Mandark Cartoon/Tele Trauma"). Any changes made to the contrary will be reverted unless a reliable source is added. Moving on, another technical matter is the time when season three production began. All I've found on it (as far as a RS) is when the network announced it with their 2001–02 lineup in February 2001. The news dates back to July 2000 when Tartakovsky himself supposedly hinted at a new season during the San Diego Comic Con with production beginning that fall. Years

Someone is messing with the airing dates... (also on other cartoons). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.103.74.8 (talk) 18:32, 19 January 2014 (UTC)

Spoofs

In these edits I removed a bunch of unsourced analyses. Though it's fun to identify the various pop cultural references, spoofs, similarities, etc., these things can be highly subjective and open to interpretation. For example, if you said that Episode A spoofs Movie B, but you weren't aware that Movie B was actually paying homage to a much earlier Movie C, that would make your statement gloriously inaccurate. Such comparisons definitely need to be sourced. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:08, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

Episode separation

Separating each half-hour episode into its (usually) three individual segments is not only just darn too long, but makes them to find. -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 17:45, 4 October 2016 (UTC)

13 episodes per season?

Re: these recent edits from an IP user, I'm inclined to revert, because the changes are significant and no new references have been added. Where are we getting the information that there were six seasons comprising 13 episodes each? How can this be verified? If it can't be verified, the previous version of the article should be restored. 13 episode seasons seems low for a kids' TV series. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:51, 9 September 2017 (UTC)

Looks like the IP editor was reverted here by FilmandTVFan28. F&TV, what was your objection? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:25, 10 September 2017 (UTC)
I thought it was vandalism. It would've been helpful if that user explained the edit. — FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 20:53, 10 September 2017 (UTC)

Rude Removal

This episode did in fact air on Cartoon Network in 1998, I watched it air two times that year. I need to do some more research to find out why it’s thought of as only airing at conventions and then later on the web. 2600:1015:B020:2D8A:85C1:F799:7964:37BE (talk) 04:33, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
