April 2009[edit]

What kind of period do we have in April regarding transfers? – Michael (talk) 22:09, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

All of the transfer windows are closed in April, both for the Premier League and the Football League, for loans and permanent transfers, so no transfers should be occurring this month. We may get some players signing pre-contracts in the middle of May though. – PeeJay 22:41, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Dude, it looks like there's going to be a transfer in April, Ade Akinbiyi from Burnley to the Houston Dynamo. – Michael (talk) 23:37, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ah yes, I forgot about him. Not sure why that transfer is allowed to go through though. Must be some technicality in the rules. – PeeJay 10:40, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
MLS has a different period. We had something like this last season regarding MLS and English Football (soccer), with Laurent Robert leaving Derby County and heading to TFC. – Michael (talk) 16:51, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Warren Feeney[edit]

Thers no proof that Feeney has gone to Leeds because theres is no news on his wiki page, cardiff's wiki page or the cardiff city website. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alzzo (talkcontribs) 10:04, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I removed that transfer, I couldn't find anything either. – Michael (talk) 20:38, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Transfer deadline[edit]

I'm a little confused here again regarding the deadline. Acording to this link, the 1st paragraph says, "It's been a busy day on the transfer front as skysports.com brings Monday's clockwatch to a close. It is sure to be a frenetic last day of the window on Monday as the transfer deadline expires at 5pm. Stay tuned to skysports.com for all the breaking news and transfer deals on deadline day." I just wonder if that's in your area or my area. – Michael (talk) 00:07, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The transfer deadline is at 17:00 UTC+1 on Tuesday, 1 September 2009, i.e. in 15 hours time. – PeeJay 01:00, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
So the summer transfer deadline is on September 1st from now on? – Michael (talk) 02:42, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, they only changed it this year because 31 August was a bank holiday in the UK this year. – PeeJay 07:20, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Somebody should've let us know then. – Michael (talk) 15:37, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
