What cases should be included?[edit]

This page has started with a sampling of cases, but is not perfect. Opinions will be appreciated on what topics should be included and which cases are notable. This may provide some rough ideas about section structure:Key case-law extracts: European Court of Human Rights, by Gilles Dutertre, Council of Europe 2004 ISBN 9287150559 [1] although too dated to be used for specific cases. Please suggest relevant cases below. Thank you. History2007 (talk) 13:26, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with this approach. Please see the discussion at Talk:European_Court_of_Human_Rights#WP:BRD. In my opinion, this article should be based only on secondary and tertiary sources. It should not be a collection of cases that some Wikipedia Editors consider interesting.--Gautier lebon (talk) 15:42, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. Answer: "needs work, not talk". In the summary on the ECHR I listed 3 books that have listed key decisions. There are even more such published lists. It is now a question of looking up those lists in the books and matching with what there is on the page, one step at a time. History2007 (talk) 15:53, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I fully agree with you. The approach you outline above is excellent. Unfortunately I am not at present able to do the work because I have other priorities. Hopefully other people will join this discussion and contribute to improving the article.--Gautier lebon (talk) 08:51, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
