This page should be moved to List of Filipino actors or List of Philippine actors, in keeping with our conventions for naming lists. Which of these titles is more appropriate? --Idont Havaname 16:43, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

IMPORTANT NOTICE[edit]

Whichever Wikipedians have taken it on themselves to create this list, congrats. I know it was a lot of hard work, but there were too many names with red-links (a no=no) and names without articles. I removed them. The List of Filipino actors (which means Filipino male actors, as actresses have a different list) needs work. The alphabetization needs to be reviewed and there are female names on the list.

But more importantly, I would say that all Filipino actors (male and female) should be on the same list, but only if they are sufficiently notable to have, and already have, their own articles created.

PLEASE: No more red-links, no more names which lead to disambiguation pages or to different individuals with the same name (i.e. Princess, Babalu, Carlos Diaz, Alicia Lane, Helen Morgan, Carlos Diaz, Alicia Lane, Babalu, Carlos Morales, Dan Fernandez, Diana Dean, Eddie Gutierrez, Eddie Rodriguez, Geraldine, Gregorio Fernandez).

Also, keep vigilant for vandalism (there were several made up names with "perv" or "perve" (i.e. pervert) included - pure vandalism.

Please contact me if you have any questions. I am not an admin, but I have several years of experience (on and off) on Wikipedia and I, like you, just want to make it as professional and worthy as possible.

I agree with Rms125a. The Philippines is a country of talented actors and actresses and thousands have come and gone, but what good is this list if there are no further informations regarding those artists? We could fill this list with thousands of Filipino talents, but how could a contributor vouch that the name he/she is adding is a legitimate name? And as readers, how could we distinguished if a name is a real actor or just a made-up name by some vandals? Please help Wikipedia by writing a page about your actor before adding his name on the list. I am familiar with WP:REDLINKS but to preserve the integrity of Wikipedia, I am deleting the names with no articles yet or linked to a different person other than that actor. - Briarfallen (talk) 16:51, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Philippine Actors?[edit]

Hi! Just Wondering. Why are there female (actresses) here in this article if they have their own article. This includes Camille Prats, Bea Alonzo, and others. This is all about Filipino Male Actors, NoT FEMALES.
