I've included the two 1806 games in this list despite the traditional date for the start of first-class cricket being 1815, since it makes reference easier given that CricketArchive lists the two early matches as first class, presumably following the lead of the ACS&H. See Talk:First-class cricket for some discussion of what constitutes a first-class game. Loganberry (Talk) 01:31, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Category[edit]

This should have a category, but I'm not sure which. English cricket, perhaps? Or Sports related lists? Sam Vimes 20:28, 3 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Personally I think we could easily find enough material eventually to justify a specific "Cricket lists" category, but that doesn't exist (yet). "Cricket records and statistics" is a possibility, but I'm putting the actual records on the main Gentlemen v Players page. Maybe "History of cricket" as well. "Category: English cricket" doesn't seem to exist anyway, though. Loganberry (Talk) 20:47, 3 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Category:English cricket doesn't exist? It's a subcat of Category:Cricketing nations, which may be why you missed it... Sam Vimes 21:00, 3 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Whoops! Yep, that'd be it. I think I'll put it in there for now, and if anyone feels like adding the others then they can. Loganberry (Talk) 21:42, 3 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Stub[edit]

Is this still a stub? It's complete by now, isn't it? Sam Vimes | Address me 17:49, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
