The unreleased scare's

What about the one's for the contest. It was where Rl.Stine would choose a title and would make a book off of it. The title he chose was "Slime doesn't pay". that title was never on any book. but I would say it would have been in between the barking ghost or a shocker on shocker street. There were two more he held one DID get released. The book was I am your evil twin. the last one didn't because this was a personal one. It was called "Dead dogs still fetch". There's a video of the whole thing happening.

Origin of the article[edit]

I created this article by excising various parts from Goosebumps. My goal is to eventually merge each of the articles listed here into this article.JianLi 23:44, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think a lot of these book articles are growing, and that all are notable in their own right. Night Of The Living Dummy III is an example of an article which has become very descriptive and useful. Personally, I think we should work to expand the articles rather than mass-merge them, and I'd definitely be willing to assist in this. There is a lot of info that could be added about each. Merger?[edit]

I'm trying to help clear the backlog of articles that are marked for merging. There's a lot of articles here, and I'm willing to do the merge unless somebody has a reason not to. Evidently there's not a lot of discussion going on about it. Seems to me the articles would condense pretty well into this one -- long, yes, but better than having a zillion stubs. Jaye 16:03, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it's a good idea. The main article will be huge, and even larger when there's more and more on each book. There's no point merging now just to split it again later. Anyway, there's already far too much for one article. Owen 18:40, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Its an interesting one. Night of the Living Dummy is a solid entry covering the whole series and can be left where it is. Others are not much more than medium-sized stubs but there is plenty of potential for expansion (reviews, horror films with similar themes, etc.) and there is little question about their notability so I'd say swap the merge tags for expand ones and I vote keep on the lot. This entry should be kept in the form it is in - a list. Anything else would bloat massively and would require splitting presumably into entries for different books which is where we are now anyway. What I think needs doing is that the individual stories in the Tales To Give You Goosebumps short story anthologies should be in one entry for each book. The individual short stories don't need entries of their own. So that is where I'd recommend the mergin efforts should be focused on. (Emperor 12:39, 5 October 2006 (UTC))[reply]
keep. Better to have a stub that can be expanded on than a bajillion stubs slapped into one article.--Claude 08:35, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My best friend is invisible[edit]

Why was this article deleted? I saw the TV version of this and it was not violent at all. Starcomet 16:06, 5 September 2006 (UTC) merge[reply]

Merge[edit]

Do not merge this article into the list of GooseBumps books. It has too much information to fit into one article with 30 or so other books, televisions series etc.! Leave it in this particular article... leave it where it is!

POCHTA We have rights![edit]

As a proud reader of Wikipedia.org everyday, I wish to express my disagreement to this ridiculous idea of a merger. Each book of the Goosebumps is unique and original in it's own way. A merger would simply generalize every plot of every book and summarize into one big random summary. THIS IS HILARIOUS!

No merge[edit]

These books were a pretty big thing while they lasted. Each one needs special attention. I own almost the whole series and would love to contribute. Even if it means going back and reading the series again.

Infoboxes[edit]

For what it's worth I went through the first twenty or so books and included an infobox. I won't lie though, it got old really quick. One thing I noticed is that your article names need to be changed. For instance Why I'm Afraid Of Bees should be changed to Why I'm Afraid of Bees. You must lower case certain words. Perhaps you might want to see about getting someone to make you a bot to do some of the trivial edits. b_cubed 05:51, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for the effort. I went through and added content to some of the infoboxes that needed them, as well as adding infoboxes to some more of the books. I intend to complete adding infoboxes to the series, and eventually add more content as well. However, where are you finding the book covers for these books at? I would like to add the book covers to the articles but I have no idea where to find them at. Ravensfan5252 08:55, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merging[edit]

Would anyone mind if I merged this article into the main Goosebumps article? It is hard to find there, and isn't too big to fit in there. Madman Marz 06:56, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The List is Wrong[edit]

Hey, My Best Friend is Invisible is on there twice, 56 and 58. Somewhere along the lines the list got messed up because I know that at least the 50's are actually one number higher than what they are listed as. But I don't have enough of the books to fix the problem so I'm just mentioning it...

Actually I think I just fixed it, it was missing Legend of the Lost Legend and had My Best Friend is Invisible on there on too many times... so check me on it.

Whodunnit?[edit]

What idiot keeps putting Monster Blood V on there, and can I see some sources? Mack-the-random 21:06, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

May not have been spam at all - I just found Monster Blood For Breakfast! on Amazon, as part of the Goosebumps HorrorLand series, out June 2008 (two months after the first two books). 86.146.202.28 14:15, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No. This is a list of books, not episodes. The Chillogy was never adapted from a book, so it's only included with the episode list of Goosebumps.--65.80.14.100 (talk) 23:21, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Five or Six?[edit]

The articles says that six of the Goosebumps books were not reissued by Scholastic. This is untrue. Only Phantom of the Auditorium, Legend of the Lost Legend, Werewolf Skin, I Live in Your Basement and Monster Blood IV weren't reissued. That makes it five. Can anyone tell me the name of the 6th book?

TayyabSaeed (talk) 11:03, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That would probably be Night of the Living Dummy, since I couldn't find a reissue for it in that particular style on any of my usual sites. I have since located a copy in that style, so I'll go ahead and change it. (Until next time... Anon e Mouse Jr.)Anon e Mouse Jr. (talk) 11:36, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Discussion[edit]

I am suggesting that Tales to Give You Goosebumps, Goosebumps (Original series), Goosebumps Series 2000 and Give Yourself Goosebumps be merged to this article per WP:N. There are absolutely no references in any of the articles. They should just be merged, and any notable books should have their separate article. Fearstreetsaga (talk) 00:57, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Different book series, so don't see why they should be merged. TyVulpine (talk) 02:01, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How are they different book series? Fearstreetsaga (talk) 20:53, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tales To Give You Goosebumps, Goosebumps (original series), Goosebumps 2000 are fantasy novels. Give Yourself Goosebumps are of the choose-your-own-adventure type gamebooks. TyVulpine (talk) 01:49, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but they're all part of the Goosebumps series and listed in this article. Fearstreetsaga (talk) 13:47, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Leave them as is. Merging them (descriptions and all) will make the article too long, and removing the descriptions for the individual books is NOT an option. (Until next time... Anon e Mouse Jr.) Anon e Mouse Jr. (talk) 14:57, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, then I guess I'll go to afd. There are no sources for any of those articles, so no notability is established. Also, the descriptions do not include a conclusion and are too short, and will not be very reliable to people anyways.99.248.179.217 (talk) 18:04, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
