CBS.com Bios[edit]

Could everyone remember to not just copy and paste bios from CBS.com. Use it as a basis but don't just copy it word for word as it's copyrighted material of CBS.com Richardm9 (talk) 23:15, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Character Order[edit]

Like the death chart, the characters that are deceased should be placed at the bottom of their respective sections. This way someone that wants to refresh themselves on a character's purpose without being spoiled for a recent episode they might have DVR'ed, has less chance of seeing (DECEASED) in big block letters about a current character. This is also more respectful to people not in the Eastern (EST) timezone who may not see the episode at the same time as everyone else. Richieice (talk) 17:13, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, i live in america. it airs in canada. i am temped to check who dies. i hate that. so can people in canada STOP putting it on wiki until people in the U.S see it. you spoil everything —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.188.150.166 (talk) 21:42, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Exact number of Characters[edit]

I am confused. The promos stated that there were 25 characters. But it ended up with 36 characters including the guests and people from the island.

On wikipedia, it stated 25 characters as well. But on the "dead and alive" list, there are 29 characters and on an article about a list of characters there were 36 including John Wakefield.

Could somebody explain? Does it mean only 25 characters would be killed?

--210.24.206.186 (talk) 06:47, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There are 25 people (19 with the wedding and 6 locals) that are suspects. One of the 25 suspects will be revealed to be the killer. There are other people; some of them may die, some of them may not. The one that is known is that these "other people" aren't the killer. People like Julia the piano player, John Wakefield, Cole Harkin, Deputy Lillis, Rev. Fain, the one-eyed taxi driver are NOT the killer. However, as shown with Rev. Fain, they might get killed. Also, it is not known how many people will die. Not all of the 25 suspects will either die or be revealed to be the killer. Mr. College (talk) 17:18, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

thats bull shit. everyone will die one by one. when it said 25, that means that who started offv on the show. and they good be killer. the only one who defintaly not the killer are thedead people

Merger nominations[edit]

These characters are very unnotable. The show is a miniseries of 13 episodes I believe? Futhermore, ratings were very low that CBS moved it into its Saturday prime slot, a death slot. Also, CBS stated there is no chance for renewal. The characters should stay in this article. Furthermore, this article itself raises notability questions as well.. it is all in-universe fancruft, with no real-world information provided, and i doubt there is any real world info. Merge these for now, each character doesn't need there own article. Ejfetters (talk) 07:29, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. One paragraph for a character in a miniseries doesn't justify an entire article. If I have the time this week, I may start changing things into a redirect. Deafgeek (talk) 20:42, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Main, secondary, teritary and dead characters mess[edit]

What's with the Edit warring between these two groups? Why do I see some people changing the article into a format where there's only 21 main characters with a dead character list? There are 25 main characters, and a dead character list is NOT needed. There's already a death chart on the main artucle. Stick to the original format of main, secondary, teritary and other characters. Thank you.

--210.24.206.217 (talk) 09:04, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I dont agree. i think there should be a list of alive characters and a list of dead charecters seperated. i would do it myself but it wont let me cut copy paste or edit.i also would apologize there are some people mising from the characters like trish, henrey, cal, chole sorry about that my bad —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.188.150.166 (talk) 18:46, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There's already a death chart in the main article. --210.24.206.132 (talk) 15:32, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Abby isn't on the list[edit]

Abby, the number one important character is missing from the list. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.137.69.236 (talk) 14:06, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Spoilers[edit]

Can we wait until the airdate & time on CBS to add new details to prevent people inadvertently reading spoilers when contributing to the article (and other articles). i quickly scroll away when I realize I am reading something that hasn't aired yet, and it isn't concrete yet, just leaks or speculation Ejfetters (talk) 11:01, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

THANK YOU you understand i am accendently spoling it for myself So PLEASEEE canada stop putting it up

Secondary, Tertiary, Other[edit]

Okay, how is it that Uncle Marty is part of the secondary characters, as he is only in one episode, and is not a very important character. But John Wakefield is in the other characters section. He is way more important than Uncle Marty.

We also have characters who are also very important in the tertiary characters section, like: Shea, Madison, Danny, Malcolm, etc.

Who's deciding whether a character is main, secondary, tertiary, or other. Because a lot of it is very weird... 24.224.170.188 (talk) 15:55, 23 June 2009 (UTC) RoshanMcG[reply]

it says in the begining of the show. it says staring.......... guest staring............. and the actors who they dont say their in tertiary. but i agree its wierd it should just say main cast and secondary. i dont even know what terrtiary means. so no guest staring just say main cast secondary and if you do say territory change it to minor or something

There were 25 listed main characters. They are the suspects. The "other" section refers to the non-mainies. The main characters consists of the Primary, Secondary and teritarty categories. The killer is among the main 25 characters. STOP changing it into the format where there's a dead and alive list with the main characters categories reduced to just 21 or less. There is already a death chart in the main article.

Lucy Daramour[edit]

According to this page, Lucy Daramour is dead (and she certainly appeared to die in the second episode). However, on CBS' site, she's still available to be picked in the "pick the victim" game (here), implying that she is still alive. In the episode recap (here), it says that she falls into a pit and is set on fire, but doesn't say that she is dead. Anyway, I'm not sure that she should be listed among the dead here, since the CBS site seems to be implying she might not be dead. But maybe they just don't list people as dead until the corpse turns up... Thoughts? I mean, I certainly thought she was dead until I looked at the CBS site. -Elizabennet | talk 14:54, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Shea[edit]

I hardly ever edit here, but there is a major error in the section upon Shea. I would fix it myself, but I don't want to damage the article in any way. It states that she is killed in episode 12, however no one dying in episode 11 has even been revealed yet. It also lists her as the 25th victim. There is no way of verifying this...Could someone more skilled than I remove it? I would sign my post, but I don't even know how to do that...haha.

What are you talking about? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.188.150.166 (talk) 21:43, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chloe[edit]

Is it ever confirmed that Chloe dies when she falls off the bridge? While it seems next to impossible that Cal could survive, Chloe could've potentially survived the fall.Brinlong (talk) 19:09, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chloe's dead. Harper's Globe confirmed it, and thus, CBS confirmed it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.249.228.224 (talk) 01:12, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Shane's Arms[edit]

The article says Shane's arms were cut off, but the image on the Harper's Globe wiki shows his arms attached to his body still. 67.249.228.224 (talk) 01:18, 30 June 2009 (UTC)Ulrock777[reply]

The Killer[edit]

I don't care if the episode has not yet aired on CBS.

The killer has been revealed, so can someone please make this clear on said character's information? 99.247.244.120 (talk) 00:25, 11 July 2009 (UTC)Right?[reply]

Wrong! Until The good people in the U.S. have seen the new episodes of Harper's Island, Canada should just sit down and stay quit until sunday.! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kaybugg1 (talkcontribs) 18:39, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

serousaly god damit (sorry for my languge) canada you seen it already so why do you have to spoil it fo america i bet if it aired in america first we wouldnt spoil it for you. we are spoilers like you —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.188.150.166 (talk) 18:40, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We know who killed Beth how...?[edit]

While Henry stated to have killed various people, Beth was not mentioned by him. HOWEVER, this does not mean that Wakefield was her killer. While it's most likely this way, it has not been confirmed.67.249.228.224 (talk) 02:55, 13 July 2009 (UTC)Ulrock7777[reply]

Removal of characters from list and other editing[edit]

I've been doing a little editing of the article. I first reverted to an older edit to remove a few additions, such as an entry on 'Lisa Bays' and 'Li-Anne Davids', and some slightly poor editing. The character section on Lisa Bays, as played by Debbie Podowski, talks about her being one of the main suspects, and being 'The Whiner Girl'. A google search for Debbie Podowski's character throws it up as being the girl in the bar, Lisa, who is proposed to by her boyfriend Brett, after Brett finds the ring Cal lost on the beach. Which doesn't exactly strike me as matching the character description here. The second character, Li-Anne Davids as played an Isabella Kapes, appears to be wholly fake. I can't find anything on the supposed actress who played the character, or anything on a background character by this name.

I've also removed entries on 'Maria Eastwind' (the maid) and 'Old Albert Cooks' (the ferry boat captain). I could not find any details on Maria Eastwind being the name of the maid character played by Sonia Mais; imdb lists the character simply as The Maid, and a google search didn't throw up any evidence of Maria Eastwind being the correct name of the character. As for 'Old Albert Cooks', as played by Paul Stanley, imdb lists the character simply as 'Old Albert'. Having rewatched the episode, I don't see any evidence of the Old Albert character being a friend of Thomas Wellington, as asserted by the characters entry. Worthless section[edit]

I removed this section because it is worthless.

"Following a 17-year stint in prison, John Wakefield came to Harper's Island, apparently to seek revenge on Sheriff Charlie Mills for the arrest that led to his incarceration and to find the child he fathered with Sarah Mills.

SPOILER: Abby Mills and Henry Dunn are best friends. In a flash back it shows them both on a beach on the island, Abby says to Henry "I wish it were just you and me on island" the whole series revolves around this. Henry has come back to the island to marry his fiance Trish "The Bride" While on the island he meets his father, John Wakefield, and together they plan to kill off everyone on the island. Henry knows that Wakefield will not spare Abby and so he kills Wakefield. In a desprite attempt to escape from Henry, Abby runs to the beach were it all started and harpoons Henry."
