ALL CAPITALS

Really hurts the eyes. All the dance titles should be first letter caps only....--Will.i.am 23:09, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

That's not particularly hard to fix, I'll do it now... :) riana_dzasta 15:49, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Garba and Raas additions, external links/references sections

I added garba and raas to the list of folk dances, with citations. I also moved the References section from the middle to the end and added an External Links section since there were a couple of random links lying around. However, it wouldn't let me add an external link to a youtube video, which I think would be a good addition (might be more appropriate for the Raas or Garba article thought, not sure). It is an example of a Garba-Raas dance routine. Let me know what you think. HitenP13 (talk) 20:35, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Yakshagana is not a folk art

To place Yakshagana next to folk dances like Bhangra and Kolata is very inappropriate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_folk_dances. We need to do something about it. Yakshagana rhythms are one of the most sophesticated and complicated for any art in India strictly follows classical Tala system and not folk groves as in Bhangra. The dance needs years of learning of abhinaya and practice of scholarly debate. The dialog is spontanious and improvisation of all of its parts dialog, dance and music is a unique feature not seen in any other art form. We need to create a section called semi classical art forms and add Yakshagana. http://thoughtslot.blogspot.com/2008/05/some-observations-on-yakshagana.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by Raguks (talkcontribs) 23:19, 25 October 2008 (UTC) ~rAGU (talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 21:42, 25 October 2008 (UTC).
