Baltimore and Baltimore[edit]

Not to be picky and all, but Baltimore City and Baltimore County are two different places. Yet there is only 1 reference to Baltimore County, and in the table every mention of "Baltimore" links to the Baltimore County page rather than the Baltimore City page. These are two independent areas, and need to be treated as such. For example, "Homewood" in the table is listed as being in Baltimore, with a link to Baltimore County. Homewood is in Baltimore City. -- Mukk 07:50, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing this out. I for one did not understand that a city like Baltimore could be "independent". So is it in no county at all? How confusing to have the city of Baltimore, in no county, surrounded by but not included in the county of Baltimore. Am trying to edit the table to reflect this properly now. Please follow up if this is not done perfectly. Picky is helpful, thanks again! doncram 23:30, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Somewhat late in commenting, but this is a local peculiarity of Virginia and Maryland. Baltimore is the only independent city in Maryland - there are dozens in Virginia, though. Acroterion (talk) 03:51, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the heads up. It will come in handy, i'm sure.... :) doncram (talk) 05:25, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
