Change format to simple list[edit]

And maybe merge it with others. 12 entries to a list seems a bit short. --Ronz (talk) 01:18, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to do this, it would really be best to bring it to a larger forum such as WP:P*. This is just one list of over 50.
Additionally, all 50+ lists combined into one or even one for every decade would be rather unwieldy. Dismas|(talk) 01:52, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the quick response. A list for each decade would have 120 entries, which shouldn't be a problem. --Ronz (talk) 17:26, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The current format was hammered out after a long run of contentious AFDs, and I don't know that it's a good idea to to further surgery on it without wider discussion. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 18:01, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm in no rush, but I figured that I might get some attention if I started, after getting no response at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Pornography#Proposal_to_change_List_of_Playboy_Playmates_of..._to_simple_lists.
AfDs are not places to decide where to make exceptions for multiple policies and guidelines. Can you link them please so we can gather the relevant arguments?
Looks like the best solution is to merge info from the List of Playboy Playmates of [YEAR] articles into the List of people in Playboy [DECADE] articles. --Ronz (talk) 02:32, 27 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

External links[edit]

ELNO#13, "Sites that are only indirectly related to the article's subject: the link should be directly related to the subject of the article. A general site that has information about a variety of subjects should usually not be linked to from an article on a more specific subject. Similarly, a website on a specific subject should usually not be linked from an article about a general subject. If a section of a general website is devoted to the subject of the article, and meets the other criteria for linking, then that part of the site could be deep linked."

Someone has decided to make mini-articles for each entry in the list, likely to get around the removal of information for deleted articles. Again, I'd like someone to point out the discussions on this so we can summarize the main arguments. --Ronz (talk) 16:59, 27 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You can find most of the most recent relevant discussions at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Pornography/Deletion, under April, May and June 2011. There were hundreds. You're right that some of the list articles were originally created to evade deletion outcomes, but a few of us worked them over/heavily pruned the text to get them into better shape. Mansfield's maiden name is given as "Peers" here, but "Palmer" in her own article. The location of her death is different, also. CFLeon (talk) 22:10, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
