Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because if you look at the PROD on the already existing article you will see that I want to delete that one and replace it with this one. The List of Pune F.C. players page has a criteria for inclusion in the article while this one does not, thus why I have the team "All-time" in the article title as this page is for every player to play an I-League match with Pune and not just a specific amount. A list of specific, "notable" players can be found here. Thank you. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 22:44, 17 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest this page should be moved to List of Pune F.C. players if the current content of that page is deleted. Hack (talk) 02:38, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I would say a redirect is more needed. I mean, what is the difference between both names anyway? --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 03:29, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
List of Pune F.C. players is precise and maintains consistency with similar articles. Hack (talk) 03:41, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I like your logic. When I return from the real world I will probably just do a copy and paste to the List of Pune FC players article and then speedy delete this page (or redirect, whatever works for you.) Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 03:46, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

All-time Pune F.C. squadList of Pune F.C. players – Maintaining consistency by using standard convention like Category:Lists of association football players by club in England Relisted. Joeykai (talk) 16:40, 24 January 2015 (UTC) Coderzombie (talk) 17:00, 16 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support - standard naming convention for these kind of lists is List of TEAM players. GiantSnowman 08:43, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Standard title for these articles. Number 57 13:57, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Significant history at target. Dekimasuよ! 21:46, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    • The target was originally an article created by the same editor as this article. He started this article on the day he decided to try and delete the old one (via prod), so I wouldn't be opposed to a history merge at the proposed title. Number 57 17:33, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: Just putting it out their, where is it stated that this is the norm way to write these articles? I made the title of the article this because of pages like All-time New York Red Bulls roster. It is actually very common for MLS articles, Template:MLS all-time rosters. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 21:48, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yes well US editors like to have their own rules... GiantSnowman 09:58, 15 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
But I am a US editor ;) Anyway, either way, I am guessing we can change it to list as I don't think Indian football needs titles that distinguish themselves from the usual format... especially when I am the only Indian football editor who follows and edits American soccer articles. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 07:31, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Re-structuring[edit]

Now that the page has been moved to appropriate title, consistent with other club pages, we can use this page, to update the list and statistics of the players. Thoughts? Coderzombie (talk) 16:30, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hm, they only seem to have the squads from 2012 onwards. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 06:52, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I meant surely we can cross-verify from the current list on wiki to soccerway and update it. yes? Coderzombie (talk) 08:44, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
