Weight class/title discrepencies[edit]

It looks like someone has tried to reconcile Shooto's traditionally unique weight classes with the weight classes defined by the Unified Rules of MMA. As such, there are many discrepancies. For example, the title Enson Inoue held was the Shooto Heavyweight Championship (not Light Heavyweight or Cruiserweight). There is even a note attached to his reign referencing the Heavyweight championship. The Shooto Welterweight title was fought at 167 lbs, but someone apparently unfamiliar with the history of this title BUT familiar with its most famous champion, Anderson Silva, changed this to match the weight class he is most commonly associated with (185 lbs.) Silva beat Hayato Sakurai for the title, and Sakurai has never had a fight at 185. The title was never known as the Middleweight or Light Heavyweight title...it was the Shooto Welterweight championship. It looks like someone with good intentions tried to bring Shooto's history in line with the other MMA organizations, but in doing so they completely ruined this article and have effectively rendered it useless for informational purposes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.9.10.62 (talk) 23:57, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
