This discussion is incredibly ridiculous, and idiotic to say the least. Wikipedia is disgusting to keep this. They won't even let you delete irrelevant information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.64.180.4 (talk) 23:25, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Change[edit]

Its somewwhat redundant. If they are not prominent (read notable) they wouldnt they be on wiki. I propose move to List of Sikhs.Bakaman Bakatalk 01:10, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Akshay Kumar and Kushalpal Singh[edit]

Both are devout sikhs please check other reliable sources or meet the people in person to find out more. Don't use Wekipedia. Thank you.

Totally inaccurate list[edit]

Just looking through the cinema section alone, the list is horribly inaccurate. Amitabh Bachchan's mother was a Sikh but he's a Hindu. You can't be half Sikh. You are or you aren't. It isn't an ethnicity but a religion. Same goes for his son. Isn't Dharmendra a member of the BJP? Isn't that an ultra right wing Hindu party? Maybe the listmaker(s) is (very, very) confused about being Punjabi vs. being Sikh. Date : June 4th, 2011

I do Agree - there are non-sikh names listed here. I deleted those names, but my edit was promptly undone.

I recommend this article to be deleted, due to wrong information. Please suggest how to initiate this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sbsodhi (talkcontribs) 11:15, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

(Sikhs do not mix with hindus as the kids will be brainwashed into being hindus and will be used against you.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.239.132.161 (talk) 21:31, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disgusting list[edit]

( the below is just some made up stuff don't listen to it, this page is promoted by RSS to show that every sikh is just really a hindu, please delete this page. Too much corruption is happening within the Sikh community by outsiders. We are a separate group of people now leave us alone. Also, no we don't want to become Hindus.)

Dharmender father was not converted to arya samaj hinduism and did not take name of krishna deol and dharmendra is self confessed arya samaji hindu. This is hillarious even though most sikhs are from hindu background when some sikh convert back to hinduism he is still shown as sikh.

further KP SINGH of dlf is not sikh at all he is jat hindu from UP. And not a sikh everyone with a name singh is assumed to be a sikh and this is disgusting. First singh name is used by hindu kshatriya that too correct spelling is SINH and not singh. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ASHOKBINDUSARA (talkcontribs) 11:25, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

similarly all bedis are not sikhs , is mrs kiran bedi a sikh no, her husband is hindu and she herself is daughter of hindu father and sikh mother. therefore be careful while adding names. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ASHOKBINDUSARA (talkcontribs) 11:31, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Be constructive and dont rant, just as almost all of the sikhs of modern day belong to the family of punjabi hindus similarly many sikhs converted or proper word will be reverted back to Hinduism specially by the Arya samaj mission . Dharmendra father is one example, he reverted back to hinduism adopt the name Krishna deol , in one interviw Bobby deol cleared that they are Hindus and i guess every true hindu will respect true sikhs. Here my meaning for true sikhs are those who respect hinduism as well and not those who simply rant about sikh sacrifice infact Mughals were defeated by Marathas and not sikhs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ASHOKBINDUSARA (talkcontribs) 09:31, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This proof should be enough http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2009-06-21/news-interviews/28201066_1_sunny-deol-esha-deol-superstitions the article from TIMES NEWS NETORK(TNN) clearly states that both father and son dharmendra and sunny claim that they are staunch follower of arya samaj system. Spreading rumors will not help, if someone will say that Guru Nanak was born in Hindu kshatriya family and hence he is Hindu then it will insult sikhs similarly their are many sikhs who reverted back to hinduism and one of them is obviously father of Dharmendra whose name was Krishna Deol and he was one of the initial members of Arya Samaj Sangathan who spread Hinduism around the world minus the caste system and other negative points of hinduism. Overall its a mission to correct the faulty values of Hinduism and spread Sanatan Dharma. This debate of Dharmendra being a Sikh should be stopped , for everyone knowledge i have visted Golden temple as well, i have visited Bodhi Gaya temple as well does this mean i am not a hindu. Because sikhism and buddhism are Indian religions they are respected by all. Salman Khan too visited golden temple , Britney spears visited hindu temple in london visiting temple, london, mosque dont mean you follow that religion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ASHOKBINDUSARA (talkcontribs) 09:41, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

See [1] one more evidence that its not dharmendra it was his father who adopted Arya samaj and become arya samaji hindus and also change his name to kewal krishna deol. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ASHOKBINDUSARA (talkcontribs) 09:47, 21 June 2011 (UTC) You can see the reason for deletion at the file description page linked above. —Community Tech bot (talk) 15:11, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

COI Edit request April 4[edit]

I have been criticized for attempting to add two prominent Sikhs to the lists - general and Canada. Both were removed and I received two messages, the second strongly worded, telling me to desist. How can I submit the two names and make a case for their inclusion? 70.53.159.225 (talk) 13:22, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits were reverted because you repeatedly broke one valid wikilink, by adding an honorary title, and you also added a link to a person without an article, which means they are ineligible for inclusion. The standard "badlistentry" template was added to your talk page, explaining what you should do, i.e. not add people without articles, and consider creating an article, which if it was accepted, would make them eligible for inclusion. You ignored that template and re-broke the link and re-added a person without an article, hence the stronger warning. If you wish to "make a case for their inclusion" you need to follow the instructions on your talk page, and create an article. - Arjayay (talk) 14:05, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
