Other Tours[edit]

According to Opiumoftheprople.net, slipknot has had other tours such as "Rockstar Energy Mayhem," "Jägermeister Music," and "Kill the Industry." Should we include these? CrowzRSA 00:02, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They are already on Wikipedia. Rockstar Energy mayhem is on the AHIG tour page, Jagermeister tour is on the Vol. 3 tour page and Kill The Insudtry is on the Iowa tour page. Just as a note... Opiumofthepeople.net and all other Slipknot fan sites are not reliable soruces (read WP:RS) they can be a good reference for info but you will need to find the original source to cite it on Wikipedia. There are a lot of rumors which get taken as fact on fansites and things like that. REZTER TALK ø 12:25, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AoF[edit]

I thought I'd just say I think it's unlikely that we'll get this article up to FL. I've tried working on tour articles for Slipknot before and there is a distinct lack of sources for their touring. I'm sure if we were documenting it while it was happening liek the AHIG tour, we could archive pages and everything but it seems like all of the important pages have gone. Here is what I came up with before: list of tours and subliminal verses tours. There are gaps in the touring dates and everything because there just aren't sources which provide accurate enough information. You might think that the tourography pages on a fansite like OOTP.net may be a good indication (not a reliable source but an indication) for dates to look out for but those pages are a little out too as I've found reliable sources which confirm dates not on their site. It might be an idea to check the archive of slipknot1.com, as they mroe than likely announced all of their tour dates on that website throughout their career. Big changes[edit]

As part of this AoF rehaul, I suggest that this article should come more in line with other tour lists, namely List of Iron Maiden concert tours; and, better, List of Kylie Minogue concert tours; and, even better and the ideal layout IMO, List of concert tours by Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5. I think it should be laid out in sections denoting solo tours (i.e. Iowa World Tour and All Hope Is Gone World Tour) and supporting/other tours (i.e. Ozzfests and the Jagermeister Tour before TSVWT). Andre666 (talk) 11:15, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

When I made the changes, I just used List of Slipknot band members as the main guide, since it is an FA article. I didn't cite any references because I just got the information from the previous article and/or from the tour page itself. If anyone wants to cite something they are welcome to. CrowzRSA 21:32, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I made a draft of a version like the List of concert tours by Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5. You can see it here. I thought it looked pretty good, almost FL. CrowzRSA 00:26, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome, paste it. Looks great. Gary King (talk) 04:40, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
So is the article now fit for FL? And if not, what can I do? CrowzRSA 00:16, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's pretty good, but some of the tours need references. Gary King (talk) 01:15, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What about now? CrowzRSA 00:19, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Uh yeah okay, it's better, but a lot of those references are probably not considered reliable, unless you can of course prove their reliability. Gary King (talk) 01:15, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Looking good so far... one suggestion: like the articles I listed, d'you think you could possibly change the dates to cater for each leg of the tour, rather than just saying "worldwide"... obviously I can do this myself at some point, but I'm kinda swamped with other stuff atm, so thought I'd raise it here. Looks good though, so well done. Andre666 (talk) 19:22, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm pretty sure it's fixed now. CrowzRSA 00:35, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewer: Wizardman Operation Big Bear 00:16, 8 February 2010 (UTC) As this is a list rather than an article, this isn't eligible for WP:GAN, and as such the article fails the review. Fix whatever issues were in the previous FLC and re-nom there. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 00:16, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
