Season Pages[edit]
I know it may be early for season pages, but it might be a good idea to start making them because of the number of people who are leaving and well-rated reviews. What do you think? 68.44.51.49 (talk) 21:47, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

- I may see the need for season pages in the future (after many, many seasons), but I really see no reason to create a page that is essentially a copy-and-paste of other pages. I won't start an unnecessary edit-war, but I do feel very strongly that these pages should not exist at this time (especially since there have only been 15 episodes so far). For a better explanation as to this position, please read AussieLegend's post on splitting the Castle episode list. This is a very similar situation to that one, and I think the same argument can be applied here. Also, please note that Castle has 93 episodes listed in the article and still hasn't been split into season articles, while Smash has only 18 episodes listed. - Just read through that link, and I agree that splitting a LOE is up to users' discretion. However, whereas Castle is a police procedural show (to clarify though: I don't watch), Smash clearly has higher production values and more cast changes/notable cameos. - What's your rush? Lost (season 1) and Lost (season 2) are very similar with regards to their Cast and Crew sections, but both are Featured Lists. Different information in Reception and the Episode list sections is enough to justify their existences. Is it Smash in particular you're arguing against or all upcoming season pages with incomplete information? - The difference between Lost and Smash is that Lost has 121 episodes, not 33. I have nothing against creating articles for upcoming seasons, but I don't think Smash deserves an article at this point. There is no reception section yet, or even a production section. Don't get me wrong; I'd love to see an article about it. I just think that for now, they should be redirected. Instead of saying "Someone will come along and add information," I think someone should begin an article in a sandbox and then publish it once it becomes long enough. Ratings question[edit]
Is there a particular reason why Total US Viewers is used for the ratings information instead of the more relevant 18-49 demo rating? Would anyone object if I changed the ratings info to show 18-49 rating instead of Total US viewers or if the page (and the Season 2 page) uses both? Ducold (talk) 03:54, 5 February 2013 (UTC)

- I third that motion. Most visitors do not understand the additional ratings and are happy with the simpler "total viewers" numbers. If you feel like adding an 18-49 ratings table to the season pages, go ahead, but this requires weekly upkeep. I, for one, do not see the point. In its S2 premiere, the show had roughly 1/4 of the viewer numbers and more-than-half of the ratings shares of the leader. — Wyliepedia 16:44, 7 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the input guys. If visitors understand total viewers better, then it's best to leave it. Plus, each ratings piece has references, so one can always click on a link to see the demo number.Ducold (talk) 00:09, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
