Image copyright problem with Image:Ppg.jpg

The image Image:Ppg.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Professor Utonium

There's no Professor Utonium article in Wikipedia. May someone please complete one. I am just learning about this cartoon series and found my research incomplete. Thanks! Goodnight3455 (talk) 21:40, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Trimming this down

Does anybody else think that this article needs to be trimmed down drastically? As it stands now, every character that has eer been featured in an episode has an entry. This should be restricted to only characters who are considered a major character in the series, AND which have been given coverage in reliable sources. Remember, Wikipedia's standard is verifiability, not truth. Firestorm (talk) 15:30, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

The Rowdyruff Boys

Under the Rowdyruff Boys, it says, "although it is never shown, the Girls destroyed them once and for all". Trust me, I am a huge Rowdyruff fan, I've studied practically everything I could find, I've never came across ANYTHING mentioned another death for the the Boys. And besides, if it was never shown, how can it be proved? The creators killed the Rowdyruffs off once, and fans were angry. I don't think they'd make the same mistake twice. I'd also like to point out there's no citation for this information. SonOfTheSouth (talk) 00:46, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

The Rowdyruffs died once, but Cartoon Network finally decided to bring them back (as regular villans). I, for one, am a Rodyruff fan too and that quote means the girls destroyed them in the first apperance. So, that's that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.243.23.219 (talk) 13:49, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

The Powerpunk Girls

The Powerpunk Girls do not exist why are they here --98.216.243.219 (talk) 15:08, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Technically, neither do the Powerpuff Girls! :) However, the Powerpunks were scheduled to appear in the proposed episode Deja View. Because of the Movie it never aired, but the story later became The Powerpuff Girls comic book issue #50. Point taken that the Powerpunk Girls may not be PPG canon since they never appeared in video format. — Glenn L (talk) 16:34, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
I was talking about in video format. --98.216.243.219 (talk) 16:52, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

A couple suggestions

Here are a few of my concerns. Characters from Powerpuff Girls and its spin-off anime are mixed into one article. I think that instead of this kind of thing in a "compare and contrast" method, there ought to be two separate character articles, one for the original, and one for the anime. Also, I would like to see better images for the girls. The ones that are currently there look like the way the girls looked after PPG jumped the shark very badly early in season 5. If there is no response to this within a week, these new images of the girls may be removed from this article. Classicalfan2 (talk) 14:38, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Unless you have replacement images, there is no good reason to remove any image. SchmuckyTheCat (talk)
Agreed, I came to this page expecting information about the Cartoon Network original series. I did not want to read any information about the Anime spin-off, except for a passing reference to a separate article. Also I couldn't find the name of character/villain I was looking for. --Markavian (talk) 14:45, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

The Villains

I think we should create a page from the villains. And move the villains of place.--ToonsFan (talk) 20:02, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Professor Utonium's name

Where exactly does it state in the series that his name is Antonio? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.120.53.249 (talk) 17:27, 16 March 2011 (UTC)

Split

Somewhere along the line the two serie The Powerpuff Girls and The Powerpuff Girls Z character articles became one, the problem with this is that the two are diffrent series and thus should belong in diffrent articles. Any comments on this? - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 16:22, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

I agree. The series are too different to be lumped into the same article, so a split is more logical. Paper Luigi TalkContributions 19:55, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

Character boxes

Are the character boxes for the characters really needed here? Most of the information for the characters can be found just by reading the description, and the boxes just add un-needed clutter. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 17:17, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

Robin Snyder or Schneider?

While Robin's last name appears to be "Snyder" and is in fact captioned as such, it is possible that it actually was Schneider, the pronunciation not being 100 percent clear. The introductory pictures of the Season Four episode Super Friends showed what appear to be animated versions of Robert Schneider and Hilarie Sidney, founding members of The Apples in Stereo who were at the time Super Friends first aired a married couple; Robin herself wore a shirt with a picture of an apple on it. The Apples also performend Signal in the Sky (Let's Go!) during the episode and appeared on the television Robin and the Girls were watching partway through the song. -- Glenn L (talk) 03:50, 18 October 2012 (UTC)

Princess Morbucks

The Princess Morbucks article is only one sentence like this one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 135.0.105.144 (talk) 03:14, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

The description was heavily shortened with this edit back in July. I partially restored it, but I left out the bulk, which was mostly just episode plot description. Paper Luigi TC 04:30, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

Mojo Jojo's way with words

I'm somewhat surprised that Mojo Jojo's distinctive speaking pattern, (not sure what the proper term for it is) isn't mentioned in the article, as it is one of his more obvious characteristics. Hackwrench (talk) 06:33, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

List of The Powerpuff Girls charactersList of The Powerpuff Girls (1998 TV series) characters – Considering the merge request at Talk:List of The Powerpuff Girls (2016 TV series) characters got opposed, this article needs to move to clarify it's scope (which is said so in the lead, characters of the 1998 series) and which series it refers to per WP:PRECISION and to avoid WP:ASTONISH. The Powerpuff Girls should also move, similar to Ben 10 (2005 TV series) and Ben 10 (2016 TV series) for consistency. Jovanmilic97 (talk) 10:50, 14 July 2020 (UTC)

  • Oppose, mostly per WP:CONSISTENCY. The original show still looks like WP:PRIMARYTOPIC to me (it gets 80% of pageviews, compared to those Ben 10 pages which are 50/50), so I wouldn't support a move there. My gut reaction was that the opposers of the merge were wrong, but I don't know much about these shows, so I'll take the fans' word for it. Nohomersryan (talk) 18:20, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
  • Oppose, per WP:CONSISTENCY. The original show still is referred to as the primary topic given the depth of the original coverage. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 02:04, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
  • Comment: This one looks to be ambiguous as per WP:NCTV. If the main article was at The Powerpuff Girls (1998 TV series) then I would say this one would have to be moved – but as the 1998 series is at the base title, I'm inclined to say this list article is also fine where it is. (E.G. See also: List of The Powerpuff Girls episodes.) However, a hatnote for the 2016 characters article should definitely be added to this one if it stays at the current title, just as there is at List of The Powerpuff Girls episodes. --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:34, 18 July 2020 (UTC)
