Episode notability[edit]

Many or all of the existing individual episode pages for this series appear to fail the notability guidelines for television episodes, and have been tagged accordingly. These articles can be improved through the inclusion of real-world information from reliable sources to assert notability. Overly long plot summaries should be edited, to a maximum length of approximately ten words per minute of screen time. Trivia should be integrated into the body of the article, or removed if it is not directly relevant. Quotes and images should only be used as part of a critical analysis of the episode. You might also consider merging any notable information onto the show's "List of episodes" or season pages. Otherwise, when these pages come up for review in fourteen days, they may be redirected or merged. If you want any help or further information, then come to Wikipedia:WikiProject Television/Episode coverage. Thanks. --Jack Merridew 10:57, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Episode article review[edit]

The result of the discussion was to redirect all of the episode articles to this page's list of episodes.

The following is an episode review discussion that is intended to evaluate articles for individual episodes. See WP:TV-REVIEW and WP:EPISODE for more info.

Per WP:EPISODE, not every episode of a TV show should likely have an individual article. This can be for many reasons, such as notability or sources, or even just what format fits best for that show.

Season 1
Road Trip: 2004
Interns: 2005
'Till Death Do Us Part: 2006
Goes to Camp: 2007
Special episodes

nb: there are a few episodes that don't have articles; at least they're not linked at the moment. Any created or found during this discussion will, of course, be part of this review.

I have reviewed these all for a second time now and none even attempt to establish their notability or amount to anything beyond mere plot summary and trivia. During the two weeks the episode articles have been tagged as not meeting the WP:EPISODE guideline, not one has been edited in any way to rectify this concern. The only significant edit to any of them was the addition of a {{prod}}, noted above. These should all be redirected to the LOE. --Jack Merridew 12:09, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion[edit]

We should redirect or take these to AfD. I can't believe even this show has episode articles... The antics of spoiled rich girls might have been entertaining, but what they exactly did is hardly notable (as in, they could be doing anything and you'd probably be able to make an episode out of it). -- Ned Scott 21:55, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • They could certainly be taken to AfD, but a delete & redirect to the LOE via this review is likely to uncontroversial considering how miserably every single one of these articles fails WP:EPISODE. Eusebeus 09:56, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • For once, I agree that these episode articles should just be redirects. I can't imagine what encyclopedic value articles on individual episodes of this show could have. (If a fan of The Simple Life wants to educate me on what content these individual episode articles could have that's not better suited to the list of episodes page, I'll be happy to listen.) —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 19:38, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:The Simple Life Goes To Camp Logo.JPG[edit]

Image:The Simple Life Goes To Camp Logo.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Image copyright problem with Image:Simplelife4DVDcover.jpg[edit]

The image Image:Simplelife4DVDcover.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

The following images also have this problem:

The episode with the clocks[edit]

Does anyone know which episode it was that had the woman with all the clocks? They were spinning around and stuff, and I'm wondering where she got them from. It would have been in the first two series, because they're the only ones I watched I think (possibly the third?). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.253.21.172 (talk) 12:28, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
