Ghost Machine?[edit]

While it was called that on the website, which is admittedly an official website, I can't remember it being called that on-screen (of course I could have simply forgotten). Didn't Jack call it/them a Temporal Transducter or Transducer or something similiar? --GracieLizzie 20:09, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

From what I remember, the transducer was one of the components of the device, rather than the whole thing. Laïka 18:27, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

When was the Mini CAT scanner used?[edit]

When was this used? --GracieLizzie 18:07, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

When they look inside the Ghost Machine to see the transducer. I'll make a note. Laïka 18:30, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
While obviously the name should remain the same, as that is what the website uses, in the description should we call it CT or CAT? CT is more correct but CAT is what the official sites use. --GracieLizzie 14:30, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stopwatch[edit]

Does it matter if it's not particularly special? It's a Torchwood item. And Ianto seems to want to use it in some sort of a weird sexual way. I think it's significant. A lot more noticeable than several other items listed in the article (for example, I've never noticed the binoculars, 3d glasses or gas masks). — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 10:39, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, but all those are actually unusual (alien tech, or in the case of the gas masks, linking back to Jack's WW II days) and were noted in the Radio Times tour. The stopwatch appears completely ordinary. It's like noting that they have coffee cups. --khaosworks (talkcontribs) 11:58, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What about that thing Owen stuck on the laptop?[edit]

What would you call that? — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 01:17, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Uuugh[edit]

Not only were silly trivial items added, but so were Doctor Who Torchwood One items, but they belong in the List of Doctor Who items. Also added was "psi-shielding" and other forms of mental training. Oh and a lockdown facility. Will the fact that pieces of paper and mobile phones featured on the show be added? What about the fact that the wall if comprised of bricks? ~ZytheTalk to me! 15:37, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think the bricks are pretty notable. If they didn't have the bricks, they whole thing wouldn't exist. — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 19:48, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's speculation, the hub could easily be constructed by some unknown alien building materials :P --GracieLizzie 21:04, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Either that or some concrete. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.107.253.163 (talk) 14:57, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wrist Device[edit]

Should it be mentioned that Jack's wrist device was also present in The Empty Child (to scan for "alien tech") and Bad Wolf (to find the Doctor)? Chronolegion 20:14, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Probably, as the gas masks and binoculars mention it. I noticed that the section for the wrist device contains this:
One could almost call it a "sonic wristband" as it appears to be able to do anything, unless of course it can't.
This sentence seems entirely pointless. Should it be removed? - Weebiloobil 18:16, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Weather Suppressor[edit]

"In Everything Changes, The Torchwood team used the emitter to stop the torrential rain around John Tucker's murder scene while they tested the Resurrection Gauntlet, but deactivated the emitter when the test ended."

I was under the impression that it was the glove that was suppressing the weather? As later on, when Suzie resurrects the fly, the rain outside stops while the glove is being used. Is the weather suppressor ever mentioned? - Sayyan 19:44, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone ahead and edited it out as there has been no mention of it in the show or on any of the websites. - Sayyan 20:04, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Doctors severed hand.jpg[edit]

Image:Doctors severed hand.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Rationale provided for this image. If someone else wants to check the other images on this page to see if they've got appropriate rationales, that would be great. —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 22:45, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Real weapons[edit]

What about listing the non-fictional weapons used in Torchwood? Perhaps unify them under 'Real firearms' or something so they don't flood the article? +Hexagon1 (t) 10:31, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tardis coral - carving or calving.[edit]

Carving doesn't sound right - I'd have thought it was calving, as in cows and whales. Seems more organic.

Anyone got a reference?

Amnesia Pills[edit]

Could we please change amnesia pills to retcon.its mentioned as this it the actual paragraph so why not the title? Penut510 (talk) 21:20, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Contact lenses[edit]

Can somebody tell me how exactly Rex did this thing with contact lenses and TV? Why this property wasn't mentioned before? No one else had such a high pulse rate in CoE? This series was pretty stressful. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.245.145.34 (talk) 10:18, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
