Donald Trump[edit]

I have removed Donald Trump from this page because he has not been nominated on a Republican presidential ticket. He is the foremost candidate and the presumptive nominee, certainly, but it remains possible (however unlikely) that the convention nominate someone else; in any case, probable future events should not be presented as faits accomplis in an encyclopedia. Mr. Trump should not be added to this page until he is formally designated the party's nominee. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.217.128.237 (talk) 16:31, 6 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Photo suggestion[edit]

If possible, I suggest we put photos of the Presidential Nominee's and next to them there VP Picks as well for the Democrat page.Keith G.J. Cody (talk) 21:08, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done -- The pictures look great! TNKS. Is this considered complete? -- Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 13:52, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Table is hard to understand[edit]

I find the table difficult to understand, although I eventually figured it out. Two things confused me: 1) having entries in the last 2 columns span multiple rows, instead of just one complete row per election, and 2) the titles in the last two rows, which were not actually related to the election itself (they just happened to be titles associated with the people at the time). Just something to think about - it wasn't a disaster and I did appreciate having the table to check some information. 173.172.70.38 (talk) 00:51, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Four years later[edit]

Trump has won his second nomination. Period. The article now reflects this.Arglebargle79 (talk) 13:51, 16 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Why the italics?[edit]

Why are the office departure years, which occur after the election, being shown in italics? GoodDay (talk) 20:45, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
