Special elections[edit]

Why aren't special elections included? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:241:300:C930:D8CD:7175:298:FF47 (talk) 23:11, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Split[edit]

428260 bytes as of this revision. A split by time-period would be nice. FoxyGrampa75 (talk) 20:24, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I personally like having all of the data on the same page. What's the Wikipedia policy for this type of thing? Orser67 (talk) 22:38, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Orser67: I figure the next best thing is WP:SIZERULE. It's just a guideline but I think it could work. FoxyGrampa75 (talk) 23:47, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
"These rules of thumb apply only to readable prose and not to wiki markup size". I see absolutely no need to split this and make readers try to splice together two article; a vast majority of the source text size is table formatting, piped links, and {Party shading/Republican} {Party shading/Democratic}, which do not affect readability. You're misquoting the guidelines; that clause applies to only one of the criteria for splitting; there are two others. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:43, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
At 428,389 bytes this article too big by far, and needs to be split into several parts. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:43, 16 September 2019 (UTC).[reply]
