Speedy deletion[edit]

It is my impression that simply because an article has been deleted before, there is not a necessary entailment that any subsequent creation (in any form) of that article will lead to deletion. This article fits a perfectly legitimate need, specifically cleaning up University of Trinity College#Alumni, and does not, as far as I can tell, satisfy any of the reasons for speedy deletion.--Sycron 06:47, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quick reasoning for this article[edit]

Although the present state of this article is not permissible under wikipedia policies, it must be understood that it is only in a very early stage of development and will progress with great rapidity into an acceptable form. This article was most likely created with List of Cornell University people as an inspiration and thus will progress in that direction. Wachowich 06:48, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- It seems conceited to list every student Head on this page. A link to the archive list would suffice. 99.231.85.234 (talk) 14:38, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of Student Heads[edit]

I think it is unnecessary to list student heads on wikipedia. My reasoning is tripartite: 1) it makes the article unnecessarily long and distracts from distinguished alumni, Rhodes scholars, etc. 2) they, as well as the significance of their position, are almost entirely unknown outside of Trinity. Not everything has to be posted on wikipedia. 3) there is a perfectly good link to an identical list on the Trin website.

And yes, I am speaking as someone who is on the list. I'm going to change it back, in hopes you'll agree with me. If not, I hope you have compelling reasons, because I doubt I'll be interested in outclicking you. Fair enough, your reasons look valid to me. Wachowich (talk) 19:20, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
