Orphaned references in List of Warriors characters[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of Warriors characters's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "firestar":

  • From Warriors (novel series): Hunter, Erin. Firestar's Quest. HarperCollins. ISBN 978-0-06-113164-6.
  • From List of SkyClan cats: Hunter, Erin (2007) Firestar's Quest. 610pp.

Suggest rename to[edit]

This article is more about the clans and less about the characters, would it be more appropriate to make this a discussion about the Clans of the Warriors series and redirect list of Warrior's characters to it? Sadads (talk) 14:16, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Issues with the Article[edit]

The article states that one of the possible names for Clan cats can be based on disabilities. They list Brokentail. Brokentail did not have a disability, as far as I remember, but if he does and I am missing that detail, please inform me so I am no longer confused. Thanks guys!!

Issues with the Article Continued[edit]

There are references to the Tribe of Rushing Water. I thought this was about the Clan cats, not the Tribe of Rushing Water cats. Although they might be in the stories, the stories are mainly about Clan cats. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, but I just wanted to point it out. Thanks!

This article is about all Warriors characters: thus it technically encompasses all Clans, all Tribes, all Ancient Cats, rogues, loners, and even non-feline characters. Brambleclawx 21:37, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Trimming article[edit]

Proposal to improve this article[edit]

Hello fellow editors! I was just trying to edit this article, but my computer decided to have a seizure and won't let me submit my edits. However, I have the edits saved in a Google Doc, so if someone would be willing to edit the updated version of the article into the Wikipedia article, that'd be great, and I could link you to the document containing the version of the article I made. Anyways, here's what I suggest to improve the article: I propose that, on the huge lists of minor Warriors characters, we remove characters who are only mentioned in passing as filler characters, who don’t often speak, especially since most of them aren't ever mentioned in other articles on Wikipedia. We can then move some of the more significant characters off the minor character list and give them their own sections in the major character list. We can then also add the more minor characters that are still notable to the minor character list. I went through all the lists, and wrote down lists of characters to remove and characters to move, which I will list if you guys think it would be a good thing to do to the article. @Blubewwy: I would strongly encourage you to make those changes over several edits, removing a few entries at a time. If I was to attempt to change the article to the version you recommend in one edit, I would also likely be technically unable to. That sounds pretty good. Here's my list. Like I said, we can remove the characters I listed under the characters to remove, we can give the more significant characters their own sections, and we can take the less important but still notable characters and add them to the minor characters list. Characters to add[edit]

This list is pretty outdated. It's missing a lot of important characters from Dawn of the Clans, A Vision of Shadows, and The Broken Code. So, we should definitely add some characters from those series when we have a chance. I think we should add Wind Runner, Gorse Fur, Jagged Peak, Turtle Tail, River Ripple, Moth Flight, Pebble Heart, Cloud Spots, Thunder, One Eye, Star Flower, Stoneteller (the one who was in love with Jay's Wing, if she's not already on here), Bright Stream, Sparrow Fur, Storm, Micah, Alderheart, Sparkpelt, Violetshine, Twigbranch, Juniperclaw, Finleap, Needletail, Rootspring, Shadowsight, Tree, Spiresight, and Bristlefrost. Cats - Issues[edit]

That is because this article is not meant to be a comprehensive list of every single Warriors character in existence. It once was, a few years ago, and the article was absolutely massive, and was very nearly deleted multiple times because the amount of content was far to much for how few sources it had. Therefore, the article is trimmed down to the bare minimum of relevant Warriors characters to make sure it abides by Wikipedia's notability and fancruft guidelines.
