Title wording[edit]

Primary recommendation: Based on the content of this article, it probably should be renamed to a "List of Wi-Fi microcontrollers".

Secondary recommendation: Change article title to "Wi-Fi microcontroller".

Rationale:

  1. "WiFi" should be written as "Wi-Fi".
  2. "Microcontroller" is better than "MCU" for encyclopedic article titling. (Initialisms can be cryptic.)
  3. Title brevity.

However, presently, the content of this article is really a list of Wi-Fi microcontrollers rather than an article about the topic of Wi-Fi microcontrollers.

Related thought: A more general category of "Wireless communication microcontrollers" may be desirable, in which case there might be sub-categories of "Bluetooth microcontrollers", "Wi-Fi microcontrollers", "Cellular microcontrollers", etc.

Clean-up & organization[edit]

This article needs significant work on it. It's poorly structured, poorly worded, and is wanting. However, with the explosion of IoT devices using low-cost Wi-Fi microcontrollers, this list seems relevant for continued existence.
